China News Service: In 2021, the Writers Publishing House published your book "Notes on Humanity", and some people commented that it was a "strange book" that "interpreted the undeacked survival code of mankind". What was the original intention or goal of creating this book?
Guanbu Zhabu: According to my rough summary, since ancient times, the self-awakening of human cognition has been carried out four times.
The first was when it was known as the "Axial Age", when humanity moved from clan tribes with simple interests to tribal alliances or state-based interests. In this way, the original simple interest relationships are superimposed on layers and become complicated. As a result, the form of social existence began to be chaotic, and there was a difference between rich and poor, the difference between the rich and the poor, the difference between the rich and the poor, the irrationality, the unfairness, the fighting, the war, theft, suffering, hunger, etc., and human beings had to think about the problem of "how to exist as good". At this time, lao tzu, Confucius, Shakyamuni, Socrates, Plato and other saints appeared, realizing the first awakening of mankind.
The Second Awakening originated from an episode in the history of human existence. Christendom, because of the judgment of "God's creation" and the presumption of original sin on human beings, has made a distinction between the "city of God" and the "city of the world." Therefore, the questions of "whether human beings are God's creations" and "whether human beings have original sin" have become questions that human beings must face and answer. The Renaissance movement thus arose and completed the second awakening of mankind.
The ensuing Enlightenment should be counted as the third awakening of mankind. At this time, we were faced with the question left over from the Renaissance, namely, "What dignity and status should human beings, who are not God's creations and have no original sin, participate in social life?" This awakening is largely marked by a redesign of the social form of existence to achieve the concept of "democracy and freedom."
The Third Awakening was accompanied by the transformation of human life into capitalism. What capitalism presents to mankind is not the end of history, but a new systematic irrational and unfair phenomenon. Therefore, finding an irrational and unfair way of social existence has become a major issue of the fourth awakening. This was when the doctrine of socialism arose.
As I understand it, every awakening is a result of solving the major problems facing humanity. In today's world, human beings are still facing the problem of irrational and unfair relations of interpersonal interests and interests of countries.
Today, the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind has been proposed. As orientals in this era, we should actively participate in this topic and speak for a new round of human awakening, even if the voice is weak.

China News Service: According to common sense, we are accustomed to using the Paleolithic age and the Neolithic era to summarize the long ancient years of mankind, how do you think about this problem? How do we read human beings today?
Guanbu Zhabu: According to the time segment of the old and new stone tools, it is a historical cognition in the sense of archaeology, which is impeccable. However, the history of mankind should not only be observed and interpreted from an archaeological point of view, but should pay more attention to the changes in their forms of existence during this period.
In general, the Neolithic Period lasted from two to three million years ago to about 5,000 to 2,000 years ago. During this period, human beings not only moved from the rough Paleolithic age to the Neolithic age that could make and use pottery and jade, but also completed the changes from animals to people, from natural survival to socialized survival, from the age of instinct to the age of nature, from the blood interest body to the tribal alliance interest body, from the collector of survival resources to the producer of survival resources. It is also interspersed with the birth of power, the emergence of totems and gods, the development of ethics and morality, the growth of the soul, and all the processes that laid the foundation for the form of existence in today's society. Interpreting human beings, these are the hardware and elements that must be paid attention to, and they are also the keys to understanding.
As an archaeological time division, the concept of the Stone Age is important, but we should beware of historical cognition from concept to concept, and beware of the limitations of cultural and civilization interpretation, otherwise we may never be able to read human beings.

China News Service: In your opinion, how to understand culture and civilization, how to interpret it more reasonable?
Guanbu Zhabu: Culture and civilization are the hot words of today, just like Mr. Storyteller's fan, used for pomp and circumstance. At present, there is a phenomenon that is more prominent, that is, to use the concept of culture and civilization to interpret human life and human history, in order to distinguish between good and bad, backward and advanced, civilization and barbarism, and also want to derive certain conclusions related to the future.
There is a prudent side to this, that is, if you are not careful, you may slip into the quagmire of conceptual calculations.
In fact, culture and civilization are the sum of human cognition of all things and behaviors in the world, and civilization has the characteristics of a way of survival based on a consensus of survival resources, and a large part of the two is overlapping existence. The difference is only that civilization is an upgrade of culture, brought into order or system.
Culture and civilization are the product of human survival activities, not something pre-existing like natural landscapes, so it is difficult to be a tool for solving future problems. Because it is only a concept that summarizes the human experience of survival, not the key.

China News Service: What does science and technology mean to mankind? How to recognize the development of artificial intelligence?
Guanbu Zhabu: Science and technology should be the wisdom accumulated by human beings over a long period of time and the ability to be transformed into productive forces.
In its primitive state, humans and animals have acquired survival resources through the power of muscles, and there is little knowledge and wisdom to speak of. After evolving, humans get some inspiration from nature, using the action between objects to improve their abilities to obtain more survival resources and solve survival problems. For example, inspired by meteorites to know how to smelt iron, inspired by the effect of wind on objects with windmills to pump water, and so on.
As we evolved further, people shifted from passive acceptance of inspiration to actively looking for ways to amplify their abilities. To this end, people start from the understanding of the existence principle of all things in the universe, and begin to consciously grasp the generative structure of each substance, the law of survival, the order and interaction of all things. The resulting knowledge is often referred to as science, but in fact it is the wisdom acquired by human nature, which began to be transformed into human ability in the 18th century, and the power of muscles was infinitely amplified by machines, producing an increasingly abundant number of living objects.
So in essence, science and technology is the wisdom that is constantly transformed into ability.
So, what is the purpose of human beings amplifying their own abilities? That is, to produce subsistence resources that can meet the needs and enjoy a more comfortable life, and the degree of industrialization is now working to meet this basic need of human beings. Among them, artificial intelligence has developed rapidly in the form of replacing human labor, which may be a yin and yang diagram that appears in front of human beings, which is worth facing and thinking in the name of human beings.
