In the consciousness of many people, NVIDIA seems to have become synonymous with high-performance graphics cards, but it released a CPU processor designed for AI and supercomputing at the recent GTC 2022 conference, with 144 cores.
The CPUs announced by NVIDIA include Grace Hopper and Grace CPU Superchip, the most powerful Grace CPU Superchip, which uses two Grace CPUs in a total of 144 CPU cores, supports LPDDR5X ECC memory, and has a bandwidth of up to 1TB/s.
In terms of performance, Grace CPU Superchip's SPECint score of 740 points in 2017 is basically no match for NVIDIA. It is reported that the Grace CPU Superchip chip will be available in 2023.
