So even in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls have a hard time convincing fans that they have the potential to beat the Bucks in a seven-game playoff series.
Because of this, if the Bulls still face defeat this season, how can they change the lineup in the offseason? Adam Goldman's advice is that the Bulls can push for a deal involving Damian Lillard with the Trail Blazers this offseason:

The Blazers got: Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, Ayo Dossom, Kobe White, Patrick Williams, 2023 first-round picks, 2024 second-round picks
In this deal, the Bulls can get an All-Star point guard of Lillard's level, he can perfectly match DeRozan and LaVine in the Bulls, at least if Lillard can stay healthy, he will be the player who will let the Bulls beat the Eastern Conference strong teams in the playoffs and even impact the championship.
So after getting Lillard, the Bulls will also have a starting lineup of Lillard, Lavin, DeRozan, Thompson and Vucevic, even if the team needs to continue to strengthen the backcourt depth after sending Ball and Caruso, but such a starting lineup should be enough to make this Bulls have good enough competitive strength.
