First released in 2017, Walking with Wolves 2 was cancelled after a postponement and the game was cancelled due to telltale's collapse. But with Telltale being acquired and restructured by LCG Entertainment, Walking with Wolves 2 was revived and is set to be released in 2023.
Because it is nearly 10 years away from the original generation, many players who have played the first generation may have forgotten what kind of story was told before. New players will also worry that they won't be able to understand the plot of Walking with Wolves 2 because they haven't been exposed to the previous game.
In this regard, Telltale CEO Jamie Ottilie recently said in an interview with the media that the prologue of "Walking with Wolves 2" will tell players how each character got to this point, so that new and old players can understand the plot.
However, Ottilie also hopes that new players will play the first generation before playing generation 2.
Wolf With Wolves 2 will be developed using Unreal Engine and is expected to be released in chapters starting in 2023.
