On March 21, the National Medical Insurance Bureau issued a notice requiring all provinces to temporarily include antigen detection reagents in the catalogue of basic medical service projects in their provinces in accordance with procedures. The relevant expenses incurred by the insured in the designated primary medical institutions shall be paid in accordance with the current regulations of the coordinating area, and the cost of purchasing testing reagents at the designated retail pharmacies can be paid by personal accounts.
At present, there are 17 kinds of new crown antigen detection kits approved by the State Food and Drug Administration, and the People's Daily health client has also randomly purchased one of them to demonstrate the correct use of antigen detection kits for netizens.
First, prepare before self-testing
1. Wash your hands and wash your hands with running water or hand sanitizer. After cleaning your hands, unpack the antigen test card and place it in a flat, clean place.
2. Understand the inspection process. Carefully read the instructions for the antigen self-test agent and the precautions related to the antigen self-test, check whether the antigen self-test agent is within the shelf life, and check whether the contents of the nasal swab, sampling tube, test card and other contents are missing or damaged. If the reagent is expired or the reagent contents are missing or damaged, the detection reagent should be replaced in time.
It should be noted that antigen detection and nucleic acid detection are the same, the process of brushing with a cotton swab when sampling is also very important, sampling needs to reach a certain depth, collect the mucosal surface and exfoliated cells, and take the effective part. Insufficient depth or insufficient frequency of sampling may affect the accuracy of the results.
3. Antigen detection
1. According to the reagent instructions, the nasal swab after the sample is collected is immediately placed in the sampling tube, and the swab head should be rotated and mixed in the preservation solution for at least 30 seconds, while squeezing the swab head at least 5 times by hand across the outer wall of the sampling tube to ensure that the sample is fully eluted in the sampling tube.
2. Squeeze the swab head liquid dry by hand across the outer wall of the sampling tube, and discard the swab. After the sampling tube is covered, drop the liquid vertically into the test card sample well.
3. According to the reagent instructions, wait for a certain amount of time to interpret the results. Positive results: Red or purple bands are shown at both "C" and "T". Negative results: a red or purple band appears at "C" and a band is not shown at "T". Invalid result: No red or purple band appears at "C", regardless of whether the band appears at "T". The results are invalid, and the test strip needs to be re-tested.
The supplies that have been tested need to be sealed at the first time, and if the test result is negative, they can be disposed of as general garbage. If the test result is positive, it should be reported to the community in a timely manner, and the used sampling tubes, test cards, etc. should be handed over to the medical institution as medical waste when the personnel are transferred.
