New energy vehicles rose, with WM rising as high as 26,000 yuan

On March 19, WM Motor, a new car-making force, released news that due to the continuous sharp rise in raw material prices and the tight supply of suppliers, the price of models on sale will be adjusted, and the price will be raised by 7,000-26,000 yuan after comprehensive subsidies. WM Motor said the price adjustment will take effect at 00:00 on March 28.

At present, there are four models on sale under the WM brand, namely the WM EX5, which is positioned as a compact SUV, which is currently priced at 149,800-163,800 yuan; the WM W6 and WM EX6, which are positioned as medium-sized SUVs, are currently priced at 169,800-239,800 yuan and 239,900 yuan and 239,900 yuan, respectively; the WM E.5 (for the travel market), which is positioned as a sedan, is currently priced at 150,100-17.01 million yuan. On March 7, WM Motors announced that the new WM E.5 will be listed at the Beijing Auto Show, and the new car will focus on the C-end. For the price increase information of this specific model, WM has not yet announced.

In fact, information on WM's price increase was released in early March. WM Motors previously announced that from March 1, the scheduling plan and model price of some WM models will be gradually adjusted. The first model to be adjusted is the 2022 EX5-Z, of which the EX5-Z all-round version is adjusted from the original 151,800 yuan to 154,800 yuan, and the Lead lead version is raised from the original 15.98 to 163,800 yuan. The prices of these two models increased by 3,000 yuan and 4,000 yuan respectively.

In this round of new energy vehicle price increases, WM Motors is not the first to increase prices, and the price increase is not too exaggerated, but the problem of WM's previous power locking has not been properly solved. The increase in terminal sales prices will further put pressure on WM's sales.
