Reuters news on the 20th, 3 sources revealed that the United States has informally proposed to Turkey to send its Russian-made S-400 air defense missile system to Ukraine to help it counter the Russian military. However, the report said that the proposal was unlikely to be implemented.

U.S. officials have made the proposal to Turkish officials over the past month without making specific or formal requests, and sources say they also mentioned it during U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Sherman's visit to Turkey in early March.
The U.S. Biden administration has been asking allies using Russian-made equipment and systems to consider transferring those weapons to Ukraine.
However, the report quoted analysts as saying that the idea would certainly be rejected by Turkey. Turkish sources and analysts say any such proposal would be impossible for Turkey because of technical obstacles to installing and operating the S-400 system in Ukraine, as well as political concerns such as the Turkish side may face strikes from russia.
The Turkish government has not commented on any U.S. proposals or proposals regarding the transfer of the S-400 system to Ukraine.
Reuters mentioned that since the first delivery in July 2019, the Us side has repeatedly asked Turkey to get rid of the Russian-made surface-to-air missile system, and the United States has imposed sanctions on Turkey's defense industry and removed NATO member Turkey from the F-35 fighter (arms purchase) program, and Turkey said that it was forced to choose the S-400 missile system because the allies did not provide weapons on satisfactory terms.
U.S. officials are eager to seize the moment to pull Turkey back to the route of Washington. Sources in the United States and Turkey reportedly said that although no concrete proposals have progressed so far, in recent weeks, [concerned] have accelerated the search for "creative" ways to improve tensions.
