In August 2020, after Zhao Eryu, who was on leave, received the news that the brigade organized a pedagogical training and prepared for the competition of the Army Teaching Institution in the Eastern Theater, he did not hesitate to write down an application and immediately returned to the team to participate in the training.
In the training team for more than four months, in the face of the deep expectations of the leaders and comrades-in-arms of the unit, Zhao Eryu was greatly encouraged, and at the same time, he also felt a heavy responsibility.
During the bottleneck period of the teaching method of the demonstration course, he continued to compress his rest time. Other comrades-in-arms advised him to pay attention to rest and adjust his physical condition, but he often agreed with his lips and locked himself in the study room to tackle difficult problems. His originally jet-black, thick hair began to appear scattered white, and he lifted his responsibility over his head.
Everything is ready, only the east wind is owed. After more than four months of meticulous preparation, on the day of the competition, in the face of more than 100 training tops and teaching backbones recommended by more than 100 units, Zhao Eryu calmly coped, conquering the examiners with wonderful teaching demonstrations, and also surprising the opponents: "The teaching method can even do this!" In 2019, the brigade organized a Chinese and foreign competition for training. Every week, a 54-hour continuous assessment should be implemented, with a weight of more than 70 kilograms to walk 70 kilometers of assessment routes, and more than 20 assessment subjects to continuous homework. In 2021, Zhao Eryu has been busy in various competitions. At the beginning of the year, he led the members of the brigade teaching method to participate in the group army teaching method competition, and won the third overall evaluation and the second individual score. Five brigade members were honored as "advanced individuals".
During the year, he led the team to participate in the Theater Army Non-Commissioned Officer Instructor Competition. Dong Pengju, a member of the team, won the fourth place in the infantry group of the Eastern Theater Army and the first place in the group army.
