An Overview of the History of Naxi Literature (III)
As a member of the big family of the Chinese nation, the Naxi ethnic group has its own unique political, economic and cultural development model in history. The literature and art among them can better highlight the cultural personality of the Naxi people. Among these literary works, there are both traditional folk literature, as well as writers' literature that has emerged since the Ming Dynasty and modern Naxi new literature. These national literatures, which are composed of songs, myths, oral majors, books, etc., have played a positive role in promoting the development of the Naxi people.
After the oral transmission period of literature, the Dongba priests and scribes of the Naxi tribe wrote and recorded a large number of ancient works of the Dongba Classics in hieroglyphs, which became a major treasure in the history of Naxi literature. Among the works that have been called the three epics of the Naxi people by later generations, they include both the creation epic "Genesis", the heroic epic "Black and White War" and the love narrative long poem "Lu ban Lu Rao". Compared with the creation epic "Genesis", what is recorded in the heroic epic and the long poem of the love narrative? What kind of artistic styles do they have in terms of literary expression? Yang Shiguang is a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a librarian of the Yunnan Provincial Research Museum of Literature and History, a former executive director of the Chinese Ethnic Minority Writers Association, an editor-in-chief of the Yunnan People's Publishing House, a deputy editor-in-chief and a finalist of everyone magazine, and has published 11 volumes of Yang Shiguang's collected works.
