Studies have found that iOS 15 improves email open rates

Apple's New Mail Privacy Protection (MPP) has had a significant impact on email marketing, according to a new study by Campaign Monitor, which found that average open rates increased by 3.5% year-over-year in 2021. MPP, released last year as part of Apple iOS 15, is an opt-in feature that essentially prevents email senders from viewing information about how those users interact with email. It does this by prefetching/downloading emails and their images, including tracking pixels. This marks the email as open, artificially inflating the open rate for every user who opts in to a new feature. (MartechToday)
