Military painter. A native of Fengdu, Chongqing, born in 1962, he was specially recruited by the army in 1980 because of his calligraphy and painting expertise, and he was engaged in news gathering, art creation and film projectionist in a certain part of the engineering corps of the Shenyang Military Region. In 2011, he studied at the 22nd Advanced Training Class of Chinese Painting of the China Artists Association. He is a member of the Chinese Military Calligraphy and Painting Society, an elite member of the Chinese Sketching Association, a special painter of the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of China Education Television Station "Ink Danqing", and a member of the Chongqing Artists Association. Over the past few decades, his works have participated in national, provincial and municipal art exhibitions and have been collected by many art museums, museums and individuals. Hundreds of fine art works and critical articles have been published in newspapers and periodicals such as China Painting and Calligraphy, Chinese Painters, China Collection, and World Knowledge Pictorial. The representative western group painting "Echoes of Daliang Mountain" was included in the Chongqing Municipal Literary and Artistic Creation Project Planning (2020-2021) project. He has published "A Collection of Contemporary Art Masters Liao Xiaoyun's Chinese Paintings".
