2022 All England Open: Momota Hyun-doo takes revenge on Heo Woo-hee

Momota Hyun-doo breaks the spell of his old enemy and defeats Heo Woo-hee to advance to the quarter-finals of the All England Open.

The victory was probably one of the most important recent wins for Momota, as Heo beat Kento Momota, the top seed, in the group stage of the Tokyo Olympics and then won again in the Thomas Cup.

In this game, we saw the long-lost Momota, excellent ball control, stable feel, so that Xu Youxi is always tired of running on the field. 2019 All England Open champion Kento Momota said he seized his chance in front of the net and was pleased with his performance.

"I've lost to him twice and this time I just want to challenge myself. My tactics were correct, and I found the feeling of controlling the net in the past. My training was normal, and day after day I worked hard to prepare without regrets. Momota said.

'He played aggressively today, he was more focused on defence when we played before, but today he did a great job in front of the net and didn't give me the chance to attack. Xu Yuxi said.
