State Border Service of Ukraine: A diplomat tries to carry a large amount of money out of the country
Ukraine's State Border Service released information that it had detained a Ukrainian diplomat who tried to smuggle out $140,000, 68,000 euros, 12 kilograms of gold bars and 13.8 kilograms of gold jewelry. The seized property of the diplomats has been deposited into the state budget to meet the needs of the Ukrainian army.
On the same day, Ukraine's State Border Service also reported that a 37-year-old Ukrainian man tried to hide under a baby box and take advantage of the chaos to leave the country. The man's wife drove two children out of the country, and border guards found problems with the baby's suitcase during a routine inspection. After receiving the fine, the man had been sent to military training.
