Introduction to art
Zhang Minghong, born in 1971 in Zhangqiu, Jinan, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Shandong Academy of Arts in 1996 and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Capital Normal University in 2010, under the tutelage of Mr. Liu Jin'an, with a master's degree, and has been teaching at the University of Science and Technology Beijing ever since.
Zhang Minghong is an artist and Great Wall Scholar. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a researcher of Li Keyan Painting Institute, a professor of the International College of the University of Science and Technology Beijing, a researcher of the Institute of Modern Ink Painting of Capital Normal University, an expert of the Expert Database of the Great Wall Society of China, a researcher of the Beijing Great Wall Culture Research Association, a distinguished professor of the School of Art of Bohai University, the dean of the Zhangqiu Chinese Painting Institute, the initiator of the "Searching for Roots and The Great Wall" project, the founder and project leader of the Roots-Seeking Great Wall Project of the China Overseas Talents Discovery Foundation, and the director of the Great Wall Branch of the China Tourism Association.

In June 2014, Zhang Minghong and his team embarked on a journey to find their roots on the Great Wall. In the past eight years, the team has interviewed nearly 600 ancient forts, more than 20,000 G image data, more than 300,000 pictures, 33 self-made independent short films by the team, directly or indirectly protected 11 ancient temples and temples, and protected 121 valuable murals, 168 square meters. Systematically sorted out the style characteristics and evolution of art forms such as architecture, murals, wood carving, brick carving, stone carving, paper-cutting and other art forms in different regions in the ancient border fort, while feeling and appreciating the ancient architectural art of our Chinese nation, it also appreciated and lamented the different customs and historical styles of various places.
