Queen Elizabeth II hosted a tea party for Canadian Governor Mary Simon and her husband, Whit Fraser, in the Oak Hall at Windsor Castle on Tuesday. On 7 March, the Queen met with Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, but was absent from the Commonwealth Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 14 March, the first time in nearly a decade that she had missed the ceremony.

Since being hospitalized for an unknown reason for one night last October, the Queen's health has been a source of concern. Last month, the Queen tested positive for COVID-19 and was not in public view for quite some time. According to Buckingham Palace officials, the Queen has received a booster vaccine.
