In mid-March, nearly 500 acres of Shengmu spring peach blossoms in the dry sea of The Sixth Street and Xinzhai bloomed in the turquoise pod fields and golden rape flowers, swaying tenderly and telling local stories about poverty alleviation...
In the fields of the two villages of Ganhai and Xinzhai in Liujie Town, the scattered pink stars are scattered, which are already flourishing and full of flowers, and the Shengmu Spring Peach Tree, which wakes up from the wind, suddenly shines brightly. The fragrance of peach blossoms spread quietly under the flapping of bees' wings. The warmth of the sun, the coolness of the breeze from the mouth, nose, eyes to the heart, moisturizing the lungs, the whole body is clean, rubbing into people's minds with spring colors can't bear to leave... An old man carrying a cultivator walked on the field and said happily: "These peach trees were distributed free of charge in the village a few years ago, and every household has them, and the peaches that come out are sweet!" ”
In order to help the remote villages of Ganhai and Xinzhai get rid of poverty, in 2018, Liujie Town used poverty alleviation funds of 240,500 yuan to purchase more than 20,000 Shengmu spring peach saplings, support the development of spring peach industry in the two villages, guide farmers to plant new and distinctive economic fruit forests on the basis of the original agricultural production, and play the card of green ecological development of the sixth street. Subsequently, the villagers planted these peach trees together with crops such as pod beans and rapeseed, which did not occupy arable land, maximizing land utilization.
It is understood that Shengmu spring peach ripens early, the fruit type is good-looking, tender and juicy, the taste is sweet, and it can be profitable after planting for three years. Last year, Sheng Mu Chun Peach hung fruit, yielding one ton per mu, and each mu increased the income of at least 1,000-2,000 yuan for the masses. Li Long, general secretary of the party branch and director of the village committee of Ganhai Village, said: "In order to cherish these 'cash cows', the village has included the management of peach trees in the assessment of the 'red and black list', so as to promote the enthusiasm of the masses to love peaches and protect peaches." ”
In recent years, in addition to peach trees, Ganhai Village has also planted walnut trees, Dazhuang Village has planted apple trees and pepper trees, Daying Village has planted arbutus trees and chestnut trees, sanyin Village has planted red pears and other fruit trees... It can be said that villages and villages continue to exert efforts in doing practical characteristic industries, and a beautiful picture of "green" agriculture is slowly unfolding. In the future, the Sixth Street will promote rural eco-tourism through the development of characteristic industries, help rural revitalization, and interpret the "Peach Blossom Origin" of the new era.
