Recently, Polish game development studio Carbon Studio announced that its VR magic adventure game "The Wizards: Dark Times" will launch a free multiplayer co-op mode, which is scheduled to start testing this month or next month, with the goal of launching in the first half of the year. Steam will be the first to be released, and will soon be released on other platforms as well.
It is understood that "The Wizards: Dark Times" is a complete sequel to the original "The Wizards", which landed on the Steam platform in June 2020 and was released to Meta Quest in May 2021. In the game, players will need to use a VR controller to complete a series of gesture spells, including a new spell casting system, through which players can cast spells that freeze enemies' ice spells and deal spell damage to them.
According to reports, the multiplayer co-op mode will support three players and play as Frost Mage, Fire Mage and Storm Mage. The three players will meet in a special central world, and after passing through the portal, they will be sent on a mission that takes place on two randomly selected maps with different objectives and missions. The three players will also fight off wave after wave of enemies and complete other challenges before finally being able to battle the boss.
In addition, Carbon Studio has promised new spells and enemy types, and as for the new enemy types, Carbon did not disclose specific details, but said that it will eventually face five new enemies.
