According to sources from FIFA and AFC, after Chinese referee Manin confirmed that he would enforce iraq's home match against the United Arab Emirates on March 24, another Chinese referee, Fu Ming, will go to Iran on March 29 to enforce Iran's home match against Lebanon in the final round of 12 matches. This will be Fu Ming's first time as referee in this round of 12.
According to FIFA's arrangement, the Chinese referee team headed by Maning will participate in the enforcement of one of the ninth rounds of the Round of 12 in Baghdad, Iraq, on March 24, with Ma Ning as the referee, Shi Xiang and Cao Yi as assistant referees, and Fu Ming as the VAR referee in the law enforcement work of the match. After this match, the Chinese referee team will transfer directly from Baghdad to Tehran, Iran, to participate in the last round of 12 enforcement work on March 29.
Because there is no VAR equipment in Iran, subject to international sanctions, the relevant technical equipment cannot be sent to Iran. So, at Tehran's Azadi Stadium, Iran couldn't use it when playing home matches. The Iranian team scheduled the final match in Mashhad, 850 kilometers east of Tehran, the second largest city in Iran and one of the holy cities of Islam's Shiites. The stadium here also does not have VAR. In this case, FIFA appointed Fu Ming as the referee of the match, while Ma Ning served as the fourth official, and Shi Xiang and Cao Yi continued to serve as assistant referees.

This time, iran's match with Lebanon is not very difficult, after all, Iran has already won the right to qualify, and Lebanon only has the theoretical hope of winning the third place in the group. However, Fu Ming had enforced Iran's matches during the Round of 40, when in the final game of the Round of 40 group stage that decided to qualify, Bahrain lost 0-3 at home to Iran, and the referee was Fu Ming. The match between Iran and Lebanon is the fifth match of this World Preliminary Tournament, where Fu Ming is the referee.
As for the crucial match between Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, which Manin has enforced, it is the eighth game he has enforced in this World Preliminary Tournament. Among the Asian referees of the 2022 Qatar World Cup in competition enforcement, there are 5 referees who are ahead of Manin, including Jassim of Qatar, Mark Hadmah of Jordan, Sato of Japan, Shuklara of Bahrain and Kraft of Oman.
