Yellow Narcissus represents purity, carefreeness, authenticity, and is also the most beautiful and splendid scenery of British spring. Daffodils are the national flower of Wales. Its blossoming coincides with St. David's Day, a festival celebrated for the patron saint of Wales. Some associated the pontil's loyalty to the reopening with David's loyalty to his people. The Latin name for Narcissus is Narcissus. It is said to be named after the son of the river god in Greek mythology. Narcissus was known for his beauty, but he was arrogant. The goddess Nemesis noticed this and lured him to a pool of water, where he fell in love with his own reflection. As he stared at his reflection, the fairies turned him into a daffodil in revenge for the way he treated them. It is also believed that he drowned to capture his own reflection, and the flowers that grow along the riverbed are also named after him. Some even compare daffodil's nod to daffodil staring down at their own reflection.
