On March 13, SAIC Volkswagen's new Weiran was officially launched, and the new car positioned as a medium and large MPV, based on the MQB Evo architecture, launched a total of 5 models, with a price range of 286,800-39.98 million yuan. In terms of appearance, the new Weiran has not changed significantly compared with the old model. In the front part, the new car adopts a large inverted trapezoidal chrome grille with a matrix LED headlight group on both sides, and the entire front face looks very visually impactful. It is worth mentioning that due to the addition of a more flexible line design to the front face, Volkswagen Weiran does not have the dull and old-fashioned feeling of traditional MPV models.
On the side of the body, the waistline design of the new Weiran is very simple and smooth, and the complex multi-line outlines a slender and layered effect. At the same time, the new Weiran retains the original dual electric side sliding door design, and on the top model, the new Weiran also added the English logo of the "flagship" flagship to highlight the identity.
In the rear part of the car, the new Weiran has not made significant adjustments, and still adopts a full LED tail light group design. Among them, the full and powerful rear of the car added a complex shape of the light group, among which, inside the light group, the new Weiran added a number of lamp strips composed of complex lamp beads.
In terms of body size, the new Weiran has a length, width and height of 5346/1976/1781mm, and a wheelbase of 3180mm.
In terms of interior, the new Weiran adopts a new center console layout design, replaced by the popular suspension large-size central control screen, at the same time, the central control area of the new car has also been adjusted, and the overall become more concise.
In addition, the gear shift mechanism has also been changed from mechanical to electronic, and its shape is consistent with the Porsche gear lever, with a full LCD instrument panel, which further enhances the sense of technology of the vehicle. In the details, the new Weiran has added wood grain trim panels for decoration and added Weiran's English logo to embellish it, while in the front row, Weiran is also equipped with charging interfaces and storage compartments.
The rear row is the focus of this class, and the new Varan is equipped with two aviation seats, which is very advanced. In addition, in terms of details, the new Verran is also more in place, adding double armrests, leg rests, seat ventilation/heating/massage functions, and providing manual sun blinds.
In terms of power, the new Weiran is equipped with a 2.0T low-power and high-power engine, of which the 330TSI version has a maximum power of 137kW and a peak torque of 320N·m; the 380TSI version has a maximum power of 163kW and a peak torque of 350N·m, and the transmission system matches a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
In terms of suspension, the new Weiran adopts a combination of front McPherson + rear multi-link independent suspension.
