Mine underground electric locomotives may have various problems as their service life increases, or if they do not get good maintenance and maintenance for a long time. Some are simple, some are relatively troublesome, and some can only be returned to the factory for repairs. Among them, the shaft break of the wheelset is a relatively troublesome problem.
It seems that the shaft of the wheelset needs to be replaced only by replacing the shaft, but how to remove the shaft without damaging the accuracy of the hub is a troublesome matter. Violent dismantling can be said to inevitably destroy the accuracy of the wheel hub, because the wheelset adopts an interference fit. And the mine may not have the corresponding equipment for violent dismantling.
The correct disassembly method is to drill three holes of suitable size along the outer end face of the axle with a certain diameter according to the shaft diameter, the depth exceeds the thickness of the hub by about 20mm, and then open the three holes, taking care not to drill the hub. In this way, there is room for deformation in the axle, and the deformation of the wheel hub can be avoided as much as possible.
