Today, Volkswagen has finally achieved its plans for the revival of its iconic T1 model. The new ID.Buzz is based on the concept car launched at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, and after five years of modifications, it is finally launched in mass production, and is expected to be delivered in October, the first to land in the United States and Canada.

Appearance, ID. The overall silhouette of the Buzz is similar to that of the T7 Multivan, but with more streamlined designs, the front face adopts a T1-like circular arc design, led matrix headlights on both sides with through-LED daytime running lights, and a large logo is placed on the front face. In addition, the two-color design of the body is also a continuation of the T1 design.

Although the side part of the car is more square in design, the window gradually shrinks from the front row to the rear, forming a layered visual effect. High-performance MPV is coming soon

Other high-performance versions such as the rear-wheel-drive single-motor setup with 168bhp/310Nm output and the more powerful dual-electric motor four-wheel drive GTX with 295bhp/460Nm output will be available in 2023. In the future, it is also planned to provide a standard wheelbase ID.Buzz with the same 52kWh batteries as the ID.3, ID 4 and ID.5, and a larger 111kWh battery will also be available for long-axle models.

It is worth mentioning that the ID. Built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB pure electric platform, buzz is equipped with a DCC (Adaptive Chassis Control) system based on the front McPherson and rear multi-link suspension, with active damping settings and a choice of up to three driving modes: Eco, Comfort and Sport. Since there is no front-mounted electric motor, its turning radius is only 11m, which is more than 1m lower than the multivan's turning radius.
