The design team of "Xue Rongrong" spent several months to make the "lantern" come alive and let the Chinese elements have a vivid expression of the times.
Guo Chunfang, the head of the design team, said that don't ask him where to buy, the bookshelf is his only "snow rongrong".
Member Zhang Yiwu, who participated in the mascot judging, said that tradition and modernity are perfectly integrated in the two mascots. Not only the design of the artistic image, but also the "overlapping sound characters" mode of ice piers and snow rongrong also has deep cultural implications.

Chinese Culture From "Going Out" to "Going In"
Culture is no longer "discounted", self-confidence never relies on "speaking"
Member Liu Yuening participated in the establishment of the Confucius Institute of Music. As a Yangqin and Guqin player, she said that when she first went abroad more than thirty years ago, foreigners had a kind of "curiosity" mentality for us, but today, many foreign Chinese music experts have spontaneously become the messengers of traditional Chinese music.
The transition of Chinese culture from "going out" to "going in" is a vivid portrayal of cultural self-confidence. Professor Guo Chunfang added that cultural self-confidence comes from cultural discourse power, and cultural discourse power reflects the significant improvement of the country's comprehensive strength.

Member Zhang Yiwu introduced the concept of "cultural discount" -- when there are large differences between cultures, culture will be "discounted" in the process of dissemination. Committee member Liu Yuening took the famous Yangqin song "General's Order" as an example, many years ago, in order to let foreign listeners understand this piece, it was often necessary to provide a lot of background knowledge on the spot, but the communication effect was not satisfactory. Now, the deep and lofty meaning of the guqin has also been given a trendy and fashionable tone.
Liu Yuening said that when she performed "Yangguan Three Stacks" again, she "did not tell why it was repeated three times, but about the expression of emotions that depended on others", and through designed communication techniques, she resonated with Chinese and Western music.
Member Zhang Yiwu also explained that unlike the Expression of "Who I Am" in Beijing's 2008 Olympic Games, 14 years later, the world has accumulated a large number of "needs to understand China". Including the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, it is more proactive and calm in telling the story of China.

The national tide of "gradual strengthening" has unlimited possibilities
Member Zhang Yiwu said that Generation Z (referring to the generation born between 1995 and 2009) is itself a rushing "trend." This generation of young people lives in China's most confident era and has the most international vision, so they will not "produce 'cultural shock' when they look at things outside", and China's young people can truly look at the world and have an equal dialogue with the world.
Professor Guo Chunfang also gave high praise to the aesthetics of the young generation, and the song and dance poem of "Only This Green" at this year's Spring Festival Gala was widely praised among young people, which showed that "national rhyme" can also become "national tide", which provided a broad creative world for later artists.
From a pair of sneakers created on the Seventeen-Hole Bridge of the Summer Palace, to the increasingly popular Hanfu culture, to the Chinese charm in the aesthetics of life, "National Tide" is not only an artistic expression, but has penetrated into all aspects of our lives.
"Guochao" is like the salt in a bowl of soup, "after adding it, the fashion cultural trend becomes its own thing, it is the spiritual bloodline, it is DNA, it is a unique identity mark that can be recognized like an iris," Zhang Yiwu said.
Preserving tradition and embracing the future are the two major issues facing China's excellent traditional cultural elements.
Member Zhang Yiwu introduced that his proposal this year revolves around "how to integrate the popularization of knowledge and the dissemination of traditional culture with short videos and live broadcasts." For example, he said, some Yue opera actors are giving new life to traditional arts through short videos and live broadcasts. Different from the traditional opera art "stage mode" that is not popular, live broadcasting and interaction make passive acceptance a history, and each participant is defining new art.
Regarding the grafting of traditional culture and new forms of expression, Member Liu Yuening was pleased to see its success, she said, "Looking back in the future, maybe we are now a time node, a time node of the national tide 'gradually strengthening'", when the trickle of traditional culture converges into rivers, "that is not only the resonance of China, but also the resonance of the world."
