It is understood that Xiangtan City is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Xiang river, and there are 42 kilometers of secondary waterways of the Xiang river in the jurisdiction, which can be navigated by 2,000-ton ships throughout the year. In order to ensure the safety and stability of the industry, in recent years, the city has successively carried out water traffic safety rectification work focusing on the "three ships" of sand dredging, sand transporting and barges, dismantling 133 ships of various types; increasing investment and fully promoting the special rectification of illegal dock ferries in the Xiangtan section of the Xiangjiang River, canceling 9 ferries on the Xiangjiang River and 12 ferries in Lianshui, banning 6 illegal docks; deeply carrying out the three-year special rectification of water traffic safety to concentrate on tackling tough problems, formulating and issuing the ""Xiangtan Section of the Xiangtan Section of the Xiangjiang River", canceling a total of 9 ferries on the Xiangjiang River and 12 ferries in Lianshui, banning 6 illegal docks in The Re-Green; deeply carrying out the three-year special rectification of water traffic safety. Yang Guang believes that the achievements of the city's water traffic safety work are remarkable. He demanded that we should firmly adhere to the bottom line of safety, earnestly shoulder the political responsibility for safe production work, fully perform the functions and responsibilities of safe production, and strengthen safety supervision by example; to enhance the ability of governance, the current track and water transport work are the top priority, and the functional departments should focus on consolidating and deepening the results of special rectification of prominent problems in the field of transportation and water, and improve the long-term mechanism for comprehensive law enforcement; we must plan well for the development of water transport, further give play to the advantages of the national comprehensive transportation demonstration city, and vigorously develop the modern port economy.
