On the morning of March 10, the ballot count was finally completed, with the National Forces Party candidate Yin Xiyue receiving 48.56% of the vote, while the ruling Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-ming received 47.83% of the vote, a difference of only 0.73 percentage points, and the difference in votes was only 247,000, even lower than the number of invalid votes in this election (307,000).
This is the smallest vote in South Korean history, and it also breaks the 10-year turnover of Korean conservatives and democrats since 1987.
Yin Xiyue can be regarded as a political figure who turned out to be a world. Although a conservative candidate, he was a sword in the hands of Moon Jae-in, and during his tenure as a prosecutor, he led the impeachment of two conservative former presidents, Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye, and was called "presidential killer" by South Koreans. However, although Yin Xiyue is good at jumping between left and right and pulling the president off the horse, his experience in being president is really insufficient. The biggest problem facing South Korea at present is undoubtedly house prices and the epidemic. In his last two years in power, Moon was widely criticized for these two major issues. At present, as a political white, Yoon Seok-yue, the most debuted is to reach the top, his biggest political proposition is "anti-Moon Jae-in", even South Korean commentators can rarely predict how Yoon Seok-yue will govern after he takes power.
In terms of diplomacy, in addition to claiming to strengthen SOUTH Korea-U.S. relations, Yoon Seok-yue also advocated the deployment of THAAD while advocating the separation of politics and economy between China and the United States.

At present, all parties are worried about whether the "president killer" will continue to swing the knife at the former president after becoming president. Previously, Yoon Seok-yue had made it clear that after his election, he would investigate the shortcomings of the current government (that is, the Moon Jae-in government). In the final stage of the election, South Korean public opinion even worried that Yoon Seok-yue's knife would not only cut the former president, but also cut his direct competitor Lee Jae-myung, setting a precedent in history.
The beam between democrats and conservatives in South Korean politics was formed when former President Roh Moo-hyun committed suicide. Moon's choice after leaving office is almost the same as that of Roh Moo-hyun, and he wants to stay away from politics and retire in the countryside.
As early as 2020, Moon said he wanted to be a "forgotten person" after retirement. The outside world has previously thought that Moon Jae-in may become the first president in South Korean history to receive a regular pension. Whether the Blue House Curse will be fulfilled in Moon is difficult to conclude. Before that, South Korean presidents were almost always because of accidents with people around them. Roh Moo-hyun was not clear about his relatives because they had accepted bribes; Lee Myung-bak himself and his son were implicated in the corruption case; and Park Geun-hye stepped down after the "CronyGate" scandal was exposed.
At least for now, Moon Jae-in has not yet shown signs of related signs. With his departure imminent, Moon's current approval rating remains at around 40 percent, a rarity among South Korean presidents of the same period. On the contrary, Yin Xiyue has many hidden dangers around him, and before he came to power, a series of scandals were exposed around his wife, Kim Jianxi, and his mother-in-law was once sentenced for forging deposit certificates.
However, after winning the election, Yin Xiyue should be busy uniting forces and forming a new government. South Korean politics may enter a period of calm. As for whether it will be a bloody storm or the end of the "Blue House Curse" after that, let us wait and see.
