Born to the sun, Sun Guolu chased the wind

author:Nine factions view the world

Night falls, and the moon is empty. With a sincere heart, I put pen to record my story. I've always thought I was like everyone else, but I had to admit that I was a little different.

My name is Sun Guolu, and I was born in December 2008 in Hengshui, Hebei Province. Before I was four years old, I was like the children of the world, carefree and innocent...

When I was four years old, my mother found that I was walking abnormally and could not get up independently after squatting, and took me to the outpatient clinic for examination. After the examination, the doctor said to his mother in a serious tone: "I advise you to hurry to the big hospital in Shijiazhuang or Beijing to check on the child, don't delay the child!" ”

My father took my mother and me on the road to seek medical treatment that day. This road, we have been walking for many years...

We first came to Shijiazhuang, and the long corridor of the hospital was full of sorrow and helplessness in the world: there was my sister who lost her arms when I was younger; there was an uncle who sat paralyzed on the ground and covered her face and cried; there was a grandmother with gray hair and a stack of medicine lists in her hands... Dad stayed in the doctor's office for a long time, and when he came out, he decided to take me north for medical treatment. We went to Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, did a series of tests, and finally the doctor told us a bad news - I had malignant osteosarcoma! I began a three-year battle with the disease.

During chemotherapy, fluids are given daily. At first, there were only two or three bags a day, and as the treatment progressed, the amount of infusion increased, often until midnight. My mother often stayed by my side all night, staring at the liquid in the infusion bag all the time, afraid that I would have the slightest mistake.

The cost of the ward, the cost of the medication, the cost of chemotherapy, the cost of the specialist consultation... Over time, it has become a "big mountain", and this "big mountain" was carried by Dad. He never mentioned this in front of my mother and me, and he would always smile and tell me that the disease was under control and that I could go home soon.

I had surgery and my life was guaranteed, but at the cost of losing my left leg forever! After the operation, I experienced more than a year of chemotherapy, and the highway between Hengshui and Beijing became the most familiar road for our family. After countless times of chemotherapy and consultation, all the indicators finally tended to be normal, I could be discharged, and this battle with the disease was finally won by me! Back at home, my mother lit the stove, and the bright flames reflected the walls of the house.

My parents took me to Shijiazhuang and matched me with my first prosthesis in my life. The moment they saw me get back on my feet, they burst into tears of excitement. I kept groping, learning, adapting, falling and standing up, falling down and standing up... This cycle has been experienced countless times, in exchange for the ability to walk independently today.

At present, I am studying at Hengshui Beimen Primary School, where I feel warmer than ever. The school provided many conveniences for my education, allowing me to come to the school early, and the chartered mother drove to the door of the classroom and encouraged me to participate in more large-scale activities organized by the school.

When I first stepped into the campus, my inferiority was like a thick cocoon wrapped tightly around me, I never took the initiative to raise my hand in class, and often deliberately avoided the teacher's fiery gaze; I rarely left my seat after class, worried about my strange walking posture in the meeting of my classmates; usually I always bowed my head in a promise, afraid of inadvertent strange eyes around me.

At this time, my enlightenment teacher, Teacher Ren Yanjun, was like a beam of light, illuminating my heart that had been closed for a long time. Teacher Ren is very caring for me, she is always able to detect my emotional abnormalities at the first time, and often uses her spare time to talk to me. She told me that I was no different from others; it was she who encouraged me to learn to be brave; it was she who guided me to try to live like what I liked. Under the patient guidance of Teacher Ren, I gradually got rid of the inferiority complex and found self-confidence again.

If Teacher Ren is my "motherly" teacher, then my current homeroom teacher, Ms. Wang Xinxin, is my "friend-like" teacher. She never sympathized or regretted me, but always used an equal, respectful dialogue to let my self-esteem find a platform to live on. Inspired by her, I continued to break through myself and left my mark on many activities organized by the school.

Beimen Primary School gave me not only two unforgettable mentors, but also a sincere friendship that can be cherished for a lifetime. Li Junhao and I have been in the same window since the first grade, he is a very smiling sunshine boy, took the initiative to be my "moving cane", adding a lot of fun to my life. In his company, I became lively and cheerful, and I also had a group of like-minded good friends. Here, I found a strong sense of belonging and integration.

Now that I am a sixth-grade elementary school student, whenever I think of my mother's day and night companionship, my father's emaciation, the teacher's sincere teachings, the enthusiastic help of my classmates, and the left leg that left me, my heart will ignite the flame of hard work: "Since I am 'different', then I will make double efforts." I firmly believe that my fate is up to me! ”

Under the patient guidance of the teacher and through unremitting efforts, I have achieved excellent results in various subjects, often ranked at the top of the grade, and made a name for myself in various school activities, and everything is getting better and better. I thought, I'll take an extraordinary path with my right leg. In the years to come, I want to live as a beam of light, illuminating myself and illuminating the world.
