On ROK-US relations, Xing Hae-ming said: We hope that the development of ROK-US relations is conducive to promoting regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity. But if there is anything involving China in the development of SOUTH Korea-US relations, we will certainly pay attention to it. Not long ago, the ROK-US joint statement mentioned Taiwan, the South China Sea and other issues, and we have to express our concern about this. As friendly neighbors and strategic partners, the development of relations between China and the ROK should not be interfered with or affected by external factors such as ROK-US relations. It is hoped that the ROK side will abide by the political consensus between China and the ROK and not be deviated from the rhythm.
