The history of Fu Kunxuan's origins has been discussed before. A native of Taiwan, his father was the head of the engineering department under the Taiwan Provincial Government and later developed in the business world. Born in Taichung City in 1962, Fu joined Soong Chu-yu's People First Party in 2000. Before entering politics, Fu Kunxuan had always been a prominent figure in the financial field and accumulated a lot of wealth. He also joined the Kuomintang from 2008 to 2009, but was later expelled by Ma Ying-jeou. The reason at that time was that Fu Kunxuan disobeyed the KMT's election arrangements in 2009 and announced that he was running for Hualien County mayor on behalf of the KMT under the banner of the KMT, and was expelled by Ma Ying-jeou the next day on the grounds of violating internal regulations. Since 1997, Fu Kunxuan has gained a lot of benefits in Taiwan's stock and financial markets. In 1998, he raised NT$400 million to hype the shares of Kaiju, Yucheng and Changyi, and the chairman of Kaiju around 2000 happened to be Fu Kunxuan's father Fu Zhaolin. Fu Kunxuan's behavior was found by the local judicial authorities in Taiwan to violate stock trading regulations, and Fu Zhaolin was also sentenced for falsely increasing turnover at Kaiju Company. In 2006, Fu Kunxuan was found to have illegally speculated on the shares of Taiwan Heji Company, using internal information and private transactions to cause the stock price to soar and plummet, while he himself made a lot of money. In 2018, the court ruled that Fu Kunxuan needed to go to jail for eight months. And on the day he was released from prison, supporters made a big splash at his prison gate, even supporting Fu Kunxuan in running for the leadership of the Taiwan region. In early 2020, Fu regained his political status as a public opinion representative to Taiwan's legislature. However, after nearly two decades of review and judicial tug-of-war, the court finally found Fu Kunxuan suspected of the Kaiju Company stock speculation case in 2020 convicted, and he needed to go to prison to serve his sentence but did not affect public office. Fu was officially jailed on May 21, 2020, released on parole on May 12, 2021, and returned to Taiwan's legislature.

As long as a politician is involved in a crime or even serves a sentence in prison, it basically means that the future is ruined. However, Fu Kunxuan had a lot of previous convictions, but he was still able to gain a lot of popular support. The Kuomintang has lived too long in peace, and everything still follows the old routine of the Taiping era. Li Wenzhong, a major general in the Democratic Progressive Party, was also sent to prison in October 2010, but he is still the deputy director of Taiwan's Veterans Management Committee, and the stain of that year has not affected his current position. There is a clear gap between the KMT and the DPP in the appointment of personnel, and there is nothing wrong with the requirement of both ability and moral integrity in the employment of personnel, but the times are easy to change, and the employment of people in chaotic times should be eclectic. What's more, most of those who questioned Fu Kunxuan came out to besiege because of the uneven distribution of benefits and fear that Fu Kunxuan's faction would stand in their way after the rise of the faction.
