The post-00s made the "wine table culture" into a board game

Basically, every adult has more or less felt the enthusiasm of "wine table culture".

Sitting on the wine table, everything becomes involuntary, in addition to the middle-aged people's interplay, many young people who do not like alcohol have also been pushed to the wine table.

Under the rules of the red tape wine table, some people are like fish in the water, and some people are like needle felt.

More and more overwhelmed young people want to escape the wine table, Ludong Qingdao post-00s boy Xiao Wei made his own personal experience into a board game to share with everyone, using the perspective of young people to deconstruct the "wine table culture".

Here's his story.

01

Wine table, a microscopic game

I was born in Qingdao, naturally I have learned about a variety of liquor stores, although I have not personally experienced the workplace liquor table, but the experience of family dinner is enough to annoy people.

"As a person who is not good at talking, every time I have an elderly toast, I feel very embarrassed."

A few months ago, the family organized a family dinner to celebrate my admission to college, and under the premise that I made it clear that I would not toast, my uncle still asked my cousin who was in high school to toast me, and said that "it is not good to mix in society after not studying now."

My personal experience, combined with the negative incidents caused by alcohol persuasion in previous news reports, made me feel that I had to express something about this culture.

The original intention of making a board game was from a class assignment, the theme was "map", and the first thing that flashed in my mind was the seat map of the "wine table".

The logic of board games and real wine tables is very similar, you must first set the rules of the game, and then let the player play under the rules.

The biggest difficulty in making board games is designing cards, and in order to make the game as realistic as possible, I did a lot of research beforehand.

I went to interview my classmates and fellow villagers, listened to them introduce their own local rules, and consulted relatives and elders of all ages to do reverse verification.

Each person has a fixed seat, and the banquet corresponds to the role of the main guest- the main guest, the deputy guest - the deputy guest.

For example, in many places, there is no wine dispenser only two or two cups.

In some areas, the "321 drinking method" is popular, that is, the main escort toasts three times, the deputy companion drinks the second cup twice, and the third person drinks the next cup three times.

At that time, I flipped through posts related to wine tables on the Internet every day, and I also read a bunch of books on the floor about wine tables, and the wine table game began to take shape.

Board games have a natural social attribute, and when the class is presented, the classmates naturally come to my table.

The first trial inevitably had some small bugs, such as some people playing cards quickly, and some people could not distinguish between opponents and teammates.

But the game started quickly, and in the second game, everyone looked like a wine table veteran.

02

Rules of the game

Board games are not made to criticize, but to "dissolve" this culture in a parody.

Wine culture, wine table culture and wine table bad habits are very different, and everything on the wine table should be based on a relatively equal relationship.

If it is out of everyone's voluntary drinking, it is considered a cultural inheritance, but forcing people to serve or persuade people to drink is more like a bad habit.

There is a very subtle phenomenon at the wine table: those who are persuaded to drink do not want to drink, and those who are persuaded do not want to drink.

A lot of liquor stores are more like a game, a purposeful, organized play.

The biggest difference between the game I designed and the real wine table is that you may be caught up in the drinking game because you can't help yourself, but you are free to choose whether or not to join the game.

The winner at the wine table may be written, but there is a big luck factor in the game.

This is a card board game combined with a ready-made installation, where 8 players are seated by lot, divided into two camps.

Players are instructed to drink or block drinks on others according to the instructions of the card content, and the behavior and speech of individuals when playing cards are free to play within the scope specified by the card (e.g., sitting and saying "XX drink a cup").

Within 30 minutes, the camp with the fewest drinks is the winner, and the winner who drinks the most is the MVP.

The MVP can pick a seat for the next person to start with five cups, and the individual drinks 20 cups to watch the game (simulated drinking) and lose the qualification to compete for the MVP.

The opening is played in reverse clockwise order by the main player, if the attacker does not want to drink, he can randomly draw one from the discarded deck in the center of the table, there is a small probability of drawing S-class cards, if the discarded card is drawn, he will be punished with three cups (not stacked with the drinking requirements of the opponent's card).

Cards are divided into attacking, defensive, transferable, and void. Cards are divided into S A B C according to level, and high-level cards can break low-level cards.

Most of the card copy is selected from the classic clichés on the wine table, and a small number of nonsensical ones appear in the S cards, which coincides with the real-life magic realism of the wine table.

Bonus

Most of them are not familiar with the mechanics in the first round, and often have the operation of their teammates who explode at the beginning, and after the second brush or watching the first game, everyone quickly grasps the essentials of the game.

In the early stage, I first tried to find a way to let the enemy drink more, and then I found a way to compete with my teammates for the MVP, and I explored a lot of operations that I did not think of when designing.

The rules of the game are relatively simple: "The camp with fewer cups is the winner, and the winner who drinks the most is the MVP".

Like the real wine table, both sides have their own dark line missions.

Players have a variety of games in the game, everyone wants to take the MVP, but if the friendly side drinks too much, there is no chance to take the MVP, and the individuals on both sides of the enemy will also find ways to temporarily reach a contractual relationship and jointly use the rules to attack the third person (for example, if they are the second team, they will want the enemy to pour the first team out of the game with 20 cups to ensure that they can get the MVP).

For the sake of authenticity, I also found fake vegetable models and prop beer.

The props on the scene are not only decorations to promote player immersion, but also create an absurd sense of theater.

The game also brought me a lot of new thinking, everyone in front of fake food and fake wine, participated in a fake wine game, and performed the behavioral discourse dominated by the game.

But why isn't this the case in real-life liquor stores?

If you get rid of these props, the strength of the work will drop a lot, not so much a board game, but rather a handover art installation.

At first, only the classmates in the class played, and later more and more people knew, and even many netizens asked me in private messages how I could play the same model? So I named my board game and am currently preparing for mass production.

At the end of the interview, Xiao Wei told Hard Shell INK that as a young man, he hopes that everyone can maintain observation and curiosity about the seemingly ordinary phenomena in life, and many problems cannot be solved at once, but things get better from being seen.
