When the situation was extremely critical, the entire Baiyun Mountain position, in the end, only the main peak of Baiyun Mountain was still in the hands of the 2nd Battalion of the 447th Regiment. Although all 7 attacks organized by the enemy were repelled by me, they still continued to pour in like locusts.

In the Baiyun Mountain Blockade Battle, the 447th Regiment killed and wounded more than 1,400 enemy soldiers, writing a glorious page in the history of our army's war. On May 28, 1951, the 50th Army submitted a report to the Headquarters of the Volunteer Army for approval and awarded the 447th Regiment the honorary title of "Baiyun Mountain Regiment", becoming one of the few formed infantry regiments to enjoy such a special honor in the entire War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.
