Neuland: There are biological research facilities in Ukraine
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced at a press conference held on the 6th that a "network" of about 30 biological laboratories has been established in Ukraine, and the activities of these laboratories are commissioned by the US Department of Defense.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Konashenkov said there was evidence that several U.S.-funded Ukrainian biological laboratories near the Russian border had been engaged in the development of biological and chemical weapons. According to documents seized by Russian forces, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine issued an order to several biological laboratories on February 24, asking staff to urgently destroy viruses capable of causing plague, anthrax and cholera.
At the same time, foreign media reporters found that the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine deleted all documents on its website on February 26 about the Pentagon-funded Ukrainian biological laboratory.
The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on March 8 saying that research on biological weapons components had been carried out in biological laboratories set up in Ukraine.
The United States and Ukraine refused to admit it. Ukraine's Foreign Ministry claimed on March 7 that the country has not developed biological weapons, in addition to some US media claiming that this is russia's so-called "information warfare".
