The app, called Uber Explore, allows passengers to view recommended locations for them, such as dining, arts and cultural events, night markets, music festivals and performances, all based on their historical preferences for using Uber and Uber Eats.

For each experience, passengers can view reviews, photos and directions, and can select "ride there now" by clicking the button. Pay for the experience through the passenger's Uber Wallet & Payment personal account.

Uber Explore will also offer discounts of up to 15% for top restaurants and bars.

According to foreign media reports, the first version of Uber Explore integrates with Yelp and PredictHQ, New Zealand's demand intelligence platform. Uber Explore has reached 14 cities in the United States as well as Mexico City.

Uber also said it plans to expand the product to more cities in the coming weeks and months.

In early February, Uber released its fourth quarter 2021 financial report, and in 2021, it worked hard to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, gradually recovered from the epidemic, revenue increased by 83%, and the adjusted EBITDA in the fourth quarter of 2021 was profitable. For the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2021, Uber's revenue was $5.8 billion, up 83% year-over-year. Adjusted EBITDA was $86 million, up $540 million year-over-year, while net income was $892 million.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, Uber's flagship ride-hailing product, Travel Total Bookings, was close to $11.3 billion before the pandemic, up 67% year-over-year. Overall, total bookings increased 51% year-over-year to $25.9 billion. Travel volumes increased 23% year-over-year to $1.77 billion in the fourth quarter, and gross bookings delivered increased 34% year-over-year to $13.4 billion.

However, on Monday, local time, as oil prices continued to soar, Uber and other US ride-hailing companies faced greater pressure on the energy cost side, but due to improved demand for passenger travel, Uber raised its profit forecast for the first quarter of 2022, raising the adjusted EBITDA guidance in the first quarter of fiscal 2022 to $130 million to $150 million, compared with the previous guidance of $100 million to $130 million.
