Not long ago, Morgan Motors released the P101 version of the Morgan tricycle in Malvern, ENGLAND. The P101 model was introduced to commemorate the comeback of the Morgan tricycle, the P101 is Morgan's internal code name, derived from the 101st plan of the resurrection tricycle project, which began more than a decade ago, and will be limited to 33 units.
From the initial manufacture of small aircraft by HFS Morgan in 1909 to today's latest model, Morgan's factory in Malvern, Worcestershire has produced thousands of handmade sports cars. The original Morgan tricycle was produced until 1952, when the plant began producing four-wheelers until 2011, when morgan tricycles made a comeback. The current Morgan tricycle was officially launched in 2011, and because it insists on hand-built, the total production of the current model is only 2500 units.
The P101 model's single-seater roof first appeared on the 2016 Morgan EV3 concept car, showing the asymmetrical design of the Morgan tricycle, so the car can only be driven by a single person. The cover next to the driver's seat is made of composite resin, and the shell appears a natural translucent golden yellow, the same material as the racing engine cover of the 1970s.
The P101 does not use the spoke wheels of the EV3 concept car, but is equipped with Aero disc wheels of the same color as the body, which not only look very special, but also have good aerodynamic characteristics. The front of the car is equipped with 9-inch HELLA tension lights, which add a pure sense of sportiness to the already extremely retro look.
On the black body of the P101, the designer added an asymmetrical white stitching coating, the longitudinal S&S V2 engine at the front of the car was equipped with two straight exhaust pipes, and the ceramic coating was decorated with a two-color combination of left white and right black, and the exhaust pipe was also equipped with a metal cutout anti-iron plate in the driver's seat, highlighting the original essence of the Morgan tricycle's personality.
