Specific to Futian District, in 2020, the added value of strategic emerging industries in the whole district was 64.211 billion yuan, ranking fifth among all districts in the city, accounting for 13.5% of the regional GDP, compared with Nanshan (the added value of strategic emerging industries was 342.538 billion yuan, accounting for 52.7%), both the scale and the proportion were far apart; for example, among the top 40 unicorn enterprises in the city in 2020, Futian District had only 4, while Nanshan had 15 and Qianhai 11. Focus on the development of the unmanned economy. Promote new formats such as unmanned driving, unmanned distribution, unmanned retail, unmanned hotels, unmanned restaurants, and unmanned logistics, and promote the application of unmanned distribution in retail, medical, catering, hotels, manufacturing and other industries. Seize the "next trillion-level industry" - the great development opportunity of the intelligent and connected automobile industry, promote the test and demonstration operation of all unmanned autonomous driving on the road, and further expand the scope of testing from Futian Free Trade Zone to Futian Central District.

In the field of employment in the "new economy", Zhao Wenjing said that Futian should take the lead in carrying out the pilot development of new employment forms and norms, and should follow the trend and make up for shortcomings.

She introduced that last year, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security added 10 new occupations such as Internet marketers and additive manufacturing equipment operators, and in March this year, 18 new occupations such as certified drinkers and carbon emission administrators were added. It is recommended to establish a labor protection and social security system for practitioners of new employment forms as soon as possible, and explore the establishment of a multi-party collaborative governance mechanism in which the government, new economy enterprises, and industry associations participate.

He also pointed out that it is necessary to increase the intensity of cultivating and introducing talents in the new economic field.
