Chen Kai specifically explained that in mountainous areas and other inconvenient areas, we should actively explore the application of unmanned aerial vehicles to shorten the delivery time and reduce transportation costs; and explore the application of micro-automatic sorting solutions at the end of the application to improve efficiency, save manpower and reduce labor intensity. In addition, we actively adopt an intensive development mode based on cost reduction and efficiency increase, and comprehensively use terminal service models such as direct door-to-door delivery, intelligent express box delivery, and express delivery public service station delivery in combination with actual conditions.
According to the reporter's understanding, at present, the postal universal service business outlets have achieved full coverage of townships and towns, all established villages have achieved direct mailing, the coverage rate of express delivery service township outlets has reached 98%, and the proportion of express delivery direct delivery to villages has exceeded half. From January to August this year, the volume of express delivery in rural areas has exceeded 26 billion pieces, an increase of more than 30% over the same period last year, driving agricultural products into the city and industrial products to the countryside for 1.3 trillion yuan.
