The selection of works in the "Drama China" 2019 Annual Works Collection and Selection Activity was announced

"Returning drama to the people and benefiting the public" is the purpose of the Chinese Dramatic Literature Society. It is our responsibility to build an effective service platform for theater workers across the country and promote the prosperity and development of dramatic literature. With this purpose and responsibility in mind, we launched the "Drama China" 2019 Annual Works Selection Campaign last year. Since the notice of call for papers was issued on August 20, 2019, it has received strong support from members of the Association and drama workers across the country, and has received a total of 596 plays and drama works of various genres by December 30. Hereby, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your enthusiastic support of this activity of the Society!

As the COVID-19 outbreak began in early 2020, the review had to be postponed until a slight slowdown in April. We apologize for the delay in the review process!

In order to be responsible for each author and each work, but also in order to distinguish the quality of all the applied works, so as to classify and guide the authors who need help more specifically, and modify and process the works that need to be improved, we follow the law of artistic creation, invited experts from various theater disciplines directly under the central government and art academies, art research institutes, and art academies across the country, together with the senior experts of the society, using the method of concealing the author's name, unit, and contact information, and conducted a "blind review" of the applied works. Experts are invited to review, evaluate and screen works without any boxing or distractions. After the preliminary review, review and final evaluation, the ranking list of excellent scripts, excellent scripts, potential scripts, shortlisted scripts and excellent literary works, Excellent literary works, potential literary works, and shortlisted literary works was finally determined on June 25.
