According to the post-mortem investigation, the total direct economic losses caused by the fire, such as burning buildings and raw materials, totaled 6.036 million yuan (calculated according to 1993 prices), which can be described as heavy casualties.
The initiator of the fire has been punished the most she can, but the lesson left by this fire is definitely not just to punish a small demon, just imagine, if Gaofu Textile Co., Ltd. usually has strict production safety management and a strong sense of fire fighting, can Dong Yangling have such a big accident with a match?

For example, the company seriously violated the fire safety management regulations, unauthorized changes to the original design function of its factory building and the fire department's fire audit opinion - they directly changed the production workshop on the fourth floor to a warehouse, storing 330,000 pounds of acrylic wool yarn (the original data is in pounds, not converted into kilograms here, so as not to affect the accuracy of the data, reference value: 1 pound ≈0.45 kg), hand crochet 16,000 pounds, other acrylic materials nearly 100 tons.

It can be seen that Gaofu Textile Co., Ltd. does not have any fire plan or fire training at all, and the so-called "security" cannot ensure the safety of the factory at all, and the migrant workers who sleep in the company's dormitory have been cut off from the hope of life!
