To enhance and promote young people from All over Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to deepen their understanding of the Greater Bay Area and encourage them to go to the Greater Bay Area for employment and entrepreneurship, the Chaozhou Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong, together with the Greater Bay Area Young Professionals Association, yesterday held the "Special Lecture on Youth Entrepreneurship and Talent Development in the Greater Bay Area". The participants described the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as "full of opportunities" and called on young people to have foresight and seize historical opportunities. The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Hui, said that talent is the lifeblood of Hong Kong's future development, so it is very important to nurture young financial talents. The Government will continue to invest heavily in nurturing local talent. In the future, we will also study cooperation with youth organizations to share their experiences in working and starting a business in the Greater Bay Area.

In addition to Xu Zhengyu, Yu Gaosheng, Director of the Youth Work Department of the Liaison Office of the CPC Central Committee, and Mo Junyu, Deputy Commissioner of the Development Office of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, attended the lecture. In his speech at the lecture, Hui Zhengyu pointed out that the development of the Greater Bay Area will bring a lot of opportunities to Hong Kong's financial industry, stemming from the fact that Hong Kong can play the following functions, including: helping the internationalization of the renminbi, providing diversified financing services, playing the role of a capital safe harbor, playing the role of a risk management center, and serving as a hub for green finance and sustainable finance in the region.

Thousands of HKU students were employed in the Bay Area during the year

Mok Chun-yu, who attended the same occasion, said that the HKSAR Government has assisted Hong Kong youth to develop their careers in the Greater Bay Area through a number of measures, such as the "Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme" launched earlier this year, and about 1,000 university students have gone to the Greater Bay Area for employment as of mid-September.

Ji Hui, chairman of the Greater Bay Area Young Professionals Association, believes that the Greater Bay Area is a major development strategy of the country, and young people bear the heavy responsibility of national development and believe that they can become the main force in the future development of the Greater Bay Area. She quoted data from Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth DreamWorks to say that as of the end of June this year, DreamWorks had incubated more than 500 entrepreneurial teams, of which more than 200 were from Hong Kong.

In response to the government's call, the Hong Kong Teochew Chamber of Commerce actively "paved the way for young people to integrate into the Bay Area". Ke Jiayang, director of the Youth Committee of the Chaozhou Chamber of Commerce, said that the Greater Bay Area has brought "a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" for young people in Hong Kong to start a business and find employment, and the Chamber of Commerce actively cooperates with the Central Huigang Youth Measures recently launched by the All-China Youth Federation to pay attention to the four major work points of youth, including cultivating and helping grassroots youth in the community, providing students with professional and workplace work training courses in addition to school knowledge, pairing with mainland internships and employment opportunities, mainland learning exchanges, and providing an application platform to participate in various mainland youth research awards.

For the talent development of the Greater Bay Area, Bao Wenjun, President of Hong Kong Global Education Group, put forward a number of suggestions, including: ensuring the free flow of talents, controlling housing and living costs in the long run, and paying attention to the living standards of low-income people to achieve sustainable development.

Entrepreneurial opportunities focus on big consumer black technology

For young people who are interested in starting a business in the mainland, Qian Fang. Li Yinghao, founder and CEO of Haojin Mobile Payment Company, believes that there are two major opportunities that will not change in the next 10 years, namely big consumption and "black technology".
