If this happens to you, Bandai expects you to see an error message when the game starts stating "Your locally saved file conflicts with the file stored in the Steam cloud." You need to see the last updated date and time of each saved file, and then "Select the saved data you want to keep and finish syncing".

"It is recommended that you back up your locally saved data elsewhere in case you inadvertently overwrite your computer's locally saved data with old saved data left in the cloud, for example due to an operation error," explains a short post on Bandai Namco's website. "

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and thank you in advance for your patience as we deal with this matter."

On the other hand, a new PS5 patch has fixed the PlayStation 5 archive bug for Eldon's Law Ring.

As previously reported, update version 1.02.2 is now live on PC and PS5 and addresses an issue where game progress on PS5 may not be saved if the console crashes, or if you unplug in rest mode. For the Xbox platform, there are no more reports of related issues for the time being.

Bandai Namco, the publisher of Eldon's Ring of Law, has previously told players to make sure they "manually save their games by periodically exiting the game" and by "using the options button to open the system menu and select 'Exit Game'".

It now appears that xbox and PS platforms can already save smoothly and hassle-free, but PC gamers still need to worry about this issue.
