Following the city's disabled female athlete Yang Yue won the silver medal in the Athletics Event of the Tokyo Paralympic Games, Liu Shuang, a paralympic female athlete from our city, won a valuable bronze medal in the 2000 meters of the Tokyo Paralympic Boat Racing PR2 Class Mixed Double Sculls 2000 meters with a time of 8 minutes 49.42 seconds. The competition was played on the Tokyo Marine Forest Waterway in Japan, and the competition was very fierce.

Liu Shuang, 28, is a rower from Zhuanghe City. It is understood that the rowing project is adapted to people with tall heads and long arms. Liu Shuang's height is only 160 centimeters, which made her once in distress. Fortunately, her coach has always given encouragement: as long as you are not afraid of hardship, you can practice with confidence. Body conditions are important, but for tandem boats, it is even more critical to cultivate tacit understanding in the later stage. In this way, Liu Shuang still stubbornly persevered, and the training was fruitful.

However, less than 2 months before the 2016 Paralympic Games qualification, Liu Shuang's knee was accidentally sprained and accompanied by standing water, and the sudden illness made her really overwhelmed. Because it is a double lower limb disability, the PR2 stage of the tandem boat project requires leg force, and there is a pinprick-like pain with a little effort. Under the positive enlightenment and enthusiastic encouragement of the coach, Liu Shuang gritted his teeth and survived.

After hard work, Liu Shuang won the silver medal in the 1000m class of the Rio Paralympic Rowing Mixed Double Boat. In addition, at the 10th National Paralympic Games held in Hangzhou in June 2019, Liu Shuang won the gold medal in the 2000 meters of rowing hybrid double sculls PR2 class, the silver medal of 1000 meters of mixed double sculls PR2, the gold medal of the women's double sculls PR2 class 2000 meters, and the gold medal of the women's double sculls PR2 1000 meters.
