In the 1970s, in order to solve the problem of flood prevention and flood control in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, the state approved the construction of the Yellow River South Widening Project, with an area of 123 square kilometers in the south exhibition area, and the people in the area were relocated to live on the roof next to the Yellow Causeway, and the original land became a flood storage area.
In order to effectively improve the living conditions of the people in the former Yellow River South Exhibition Area, Dongying City began to demolish and renovate 66 Fangtai villages along the Yellow River Dam in 2013, involving a total of 15,800 households and 42,100 people.
At present, yangmiao community implements central heating, natural gas into households, centralized sewage treatment, supporting the construction of convenience service centers, restaurants for the elderly, youth homes and other public service facilities, at the same time, vigorously develop fruit and vegetable planting, rural tourism and other industries, the income level of the masses has steadily increased.
