Patty Hernandez, 40, from Charlotte, North Carolina, determined she was pregnant and planned to give her children names that began with the letter "C" because their father was called Carlos.
Patti told the Mirror: "We are fighting for our 17th child. We always wanted a big family, but never thought God would bless us so much. I'm so thankful. If it's a boy, we're thinking about naming the child Carter; If it's a girl, we're thinking about naming the child Clair. ”
Patti gave birth to her 16th child, Clayton, last May. She said the pregnancy was her hardest, 40 weeks, the longest she's been pregnant. All the other children were born before 38 weeks. When she went inside to give birth, most of the nurses at the hospital recognized her. Said she came here last year and sees her every year. Patti said, "It is all up to God to give me the strength to fulfill my wishes as an elderly mother." ”
She also told The Mirror earlier, "God bless us with so many kids, I know some people don't look favorably, and there are some vicious attack comments online, but for us, all of them are blessings." Patti and her husband currently spend £650 (about 5,431 yuan) every half a month to buy food for their children, a figure that is unacceptable to ordinary families. However, she stressed that they did not have the support of any Government. The couple made enough money from their cleaning business to pay their bills, and they hoped that their eldest son, Carlos the Younger, would soon help out in the family business.
