The 11th Paralympic Games and the 8th Special Olympics Games were held in Shaanxi. During the Special Olympics, Shaanxi welcomed more guests with disabilities, and the upgrading and transformation of barrier-free facilities reflected civilization and progress, and also reflected the tolerance and humanity of a city. Xi'an, Baoji and other cities hosting Special Olympics programs have pressed the "start button" before the opening, and have fully served disabled athletes from all over the country.

After October, disabled athletes from all over the country arrived in Xi'an, and the Xi'an North Railway Station Passenger Station also entered a busy state in advance. As soon as the deaf athletes came out of the car, Wu Yu, a workshop passenger, greeted them with signs. "Sign language is a must-have skill for us in our current special role, and we were specially trained before Special Olympics. We also hope to use thoughtful service to make them feel the enthusiasm and intimacy of the ancient capital of Xi'an. "The intimate measure of getting off the bus and accompanying the whole process has made the disabled athletes who arrived at the station praise and express their gratitude." It is reported that in order to provide warm and meticulous services, Shaanxi has carried out standardized training for 7,380 games volunteers, more than 12,000 urban volunteers and more than 135,000 social volunteers in terms of services for the disabled, norms for helping the disabled, emergency care, psychological adjustment, sign language communication, etc.
"Hello, welcome to the basketball arena." A series of services such as standardized smile guidance, wheelchair boosting, luggage transfer, seating arrangement, cleaning towels, tea brewing and so on make the contestants feel warm. In the Xi'an City Sports Park in the Economic Development Zone, the basketball project competition committee strives to pass the "economic opening temperature" everywhere, and the mascot cushions in the guest lounge, the indoor air conditioning temperature setting, the real-time monitoring of air quality and other details fully demonstrate the good image of the Paralympic Games. Baoji City has successively repaired and renovated the blind lanes of the city, and the sharp corners and metal pipes in the gymnasium and the hotel where the athletes live are also wrapped in soft packaging materials. At the same time, Baoji City will also combine urban upgrading with the improvement of people's livelihood, focusing on the improvement of the surrounding environment of sports venues and the construction of barrier-free facilities, carrying out rehabilitation and fitness activities for the disabled, and forming a good social atmosphere for the integration of disabled and healthy.
Hosting a national multi-sport event tests a city's all-factor capabilities, while hosting a Special Olympics requires the city to "use its brain". Shaanxi has completed the barrier-free transformation of 22 venues that undertook the competition, creating a standardized and humanized barrier-free environment for venues. After the 14th Games, Shaanxi promptly added a functional room for the storage of auxiliary materials for the competition and the maintenance of wheelchair prosthetic limbs to the venues that undertook the Special Olympics games, and carried out anti-slip treatment for the wet and slippery areas. For venues with hearing disabilities participating in the competition, intelligent sign language translation system services are provided. Complete the transformation of barrier-free facilities such as ramps, elevators, guest rooms, toilets, doorbells and voice prompts in each reception hotel, and are equipped with temporary facilities such as wheelchairs, bath stools, and grab bars. At the same time, it will improve the surrounding and social public environment of the stadiums involved in the competition, repair 219 kilometers of blind lanes and more than 200 stone ramps, and put into use 1,052 new pure electric buses equipped with barrier-free facilities on more than 50 bus lines.
