On March 4, Beijing time, the WTT Oman Challenge entered the penultimate day of competition. Doubles matches have reached the semi-finals and singles matches have reached the quarter-finals.
The first mixed doubles semi-final was played by China's Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong against Chinese Taipei's Li Xinyou/Zheng Yijing. Zheng Yijing is also a more familiar athlete for the majority of fans, and has trained with national table tennis players.
In the mixed doubles 1/8 final, Wang Chuqin/ Chen Xingtong defeated the French duo of Simon Gautz/ Pavard 3-1, and in the mixed doubles 1/4 final, Wang Chuqin / Chen Xingtong defeated Liang Jingkun / Kuman 3-1.
Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong became the only mixed doubles pair of national table tennis to reach the final four. They competed with Chinese Taipei's Li Xinyou/Zheng Yijing for the right to the final. In the end, they swept Li Xinyou/Zheng Yijing 3-0 and successfully advanced to the mixed doubles final. The scores in the three sets were 11:3, 11:6, 11:9.
In the first set, Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong started quickly and took a 5:3 lead, and scored six consecutive points to win the first set 11:3.
In the second set, Li Xinyou/ Zheng Yijing made a 3:0 start, and Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong scored 4 consecutive points to win the score. Li Xinyou/Zheng Yijing took the lead again 6:5, but somehow fell into a state of not being able to play. Wang Chuqin/ Chen Xingtong scored six consecutive points to win another set 11:6 to lead Li Xinyou / Zheng Yijing 2-0. In two consecutive sets, Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong won by 6 consecutive points.
In the third set, Li Xinyou/Zheng Yijing made a 3:0 start, and Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong scored two consecutive points to narrow the point difference. At 4:2, Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong scored 2 consecutive points to tie the score. The two sides reached 6 draws, and Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong scored 2 consecutive points to overtake the score. Li Xinyou/Zheng Yijing called a pause.
After Li Xinyou/ Zheng Yijing scored one point, Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong scored two more points in a row to win the match point 10:7. Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong always narrowed the point gap with 2 consecutive points and then took the lead. Although Chen Xingtong made a mistake and gave the opponent a chance; the opponent scored 2 points in a row to narrow the point difference, but at the critical moment, Li Xinyou took the hair and pulled out. Wang Chuqin/Chen Xingtong won the set 11:9.
In the end, Chen Xingtong/Wang Chuqin defeated Li Xinyou/Zheng Yijing 3-0 to advance to the mixed doubles final of the WTT Oman Challenge. Congratulations to both of them!

In the women's doubles quarterfinals, Qian Tianyi/Chen Xingtong defeated Liu Xinyin/Huang Yihua 3-0. The semi-finals will be against Rui Zhang/Ku man.
In the men's doubles quarterfinals, Wang Chuqin/Liang Jingkun lost 2-3 to his brother Xiang Peng/Lin Shidong, and did not qualify for the final four, so he did not have the opportunity to participate in the later competition.
In the men's singles quarterfinals, Wang Chuqin defeated Zhao Zihao 3-0, and Wang Chuqin played against Xiang Peng in the quarterfinals.
In the women's singles quarterfinals, Kuman defeated Chen Xingtong 3-1. Chen Xingtong did not qualify for the quarterfinals, and he did not qualify for the subsequent matches.
There is a characteristic of this competition, the national table tennis has 4 people and three events, but they all lose at least one of them, and it is impossible to produce a triple crown. Wang Chuqin also has mixed doubles and men's singles, Liang Jingkun only has men's singles, Chen Xingtong also has mixed doubles and women's doubles, and Ku Man also has women's singles and women's doubles.
