The parade is interspersed with colorful folk performances, including the magnificent Double Dragon Road, the vivid image of the lion to send blessings, as well as a variety of iron branch performances and a series of folk performances with local characteristics, which not only reflect the local people's yearning and pursuit of a better future, but also reflect the protection and inheritance of folk culture by the people of Xiancun. According to the villagers of Xianyang, Huang Qigong, formerly known as Huang Ju, was a counselor of the Sui Dynasty and the founder of Xian village. Dissatisfied with the tyranny of the Sui Dynasty Emperor, he moved south to Ningde, first to the Seven Capitals and then to Xian Village (present-day Zhouning County).
In 607, Huang Ju and his uncle, Sui Guanglu's doctor Zhu Fu," "changed places and settled in Huotong Shiqiao Village." At that time, Huotong was desolate, full of miscellaneous trees, rarely had good land, and the people's life was extremely difficult. Huang Ju, who was well versed in water conservancy and agriculture, led his children and villagers to dig dragon waists, open water channels, divert water to irrigate fields, and bless the villagers. In addition, Huang Ju and others also introduced advanced agricultural production technology and traditional culture from the Central Plains, and integrated the Henan dialect into the local language, from Huotong in the south to Xiancun in the north and Hongkou in the west, forming a unique Huotong dialect.
Xiancun and Huotong are connected geographically, Xiancun was originally under the jurisdiction of Huotong, and after the establishment of Zhouning County, it was assigned to Zhouning. The descendants of Xiancun are grateful to Huang Ju, Zhu Fu and other ancestors, and during the first month of each year, a grand parade of Huang Qigong will be held to commemorate the event, which is undertaken by the "Eight Realms of Xiancun" in turn, and pray for the safety of the country and the people of The People's Republic of China through the parade of the "Eight Realms" of Xian villages such as Yangzhong and Xiasaka, which has been passed down for more than 800 years.
