Hello everyone, I am a high mountain. The theme I share today is "The Power of Dreams, Doing Nothing". The point is on the last four words – "do nothing."
Please think back, when you were twelve or thirteen years old, what were you playing? Think about it, you can shout out loud, boys should be able to play racing or the like, or sports, play basketball? Playing soccer? I'm different from you, I'm playing with this stuff.
Candles, laser pointers, flashlights, fishing lines, what do I do with these things? When I was 12 years old, I built a stage out of these things, but it was just in the hall of my house.
If you look at the picture above, this is a sketch of a stage that I drew at that time, although it looks very simple, but in my mind, it is actually very luxurious.
It is a four-sided platform with six performance areas, as well as a lifting platform. Its production process is also very simple, some wood, some glue, you will also see a Loeb bottle, why is there this thing? Because of chasing the light. I put a small lamp in the bottle, and what came out was a small beam of light.
At that time, I was completely immersed in my own imagination to create this stage, which was a "big project" designed by a "little broken child", but after more than ten years, I realized my dream and became a real stage director.
<h1>Big dreams for little broken children</h1>
In recent years, I have served as the general director of the evening party section of the Oriental Chart music festival.
Everyone looks at the left is our design drawings this year, the right is the picture of the construction time, we will be the light stand, the basic platform from scratch, little by little, and finally presented a very luxurious and beautiful stage, has become a very important list of the entire Chinese music scene in the past 25 years, but also the most authoritative and luxurious award ceremony in the Chinese mainland every year.
My relationship with the Oriental Chart began 21 years ago, that is, when the fifth Oriental Chart was held, I was already involved in this work, and it was not interrupted for a year.
When I first came to do this, I was really just a handy kid. I summed up this experience in one sentence, asking human flesh to "run" out of the "number" data. For example, do you know her in the upper left corner? Recognize?
Expose your age, "just conquered by you, drink the poison you have hidden." Na Ying is the most popular female singer of the sixth Oriental Wind and Cloud Chart, and the one on the right is Sun Nan, who is also a regular winner of the Oriental Wind and Cloud Chart.
Do you know how the most popular male and female singers were chosen at the time? In a field similar to the Shanghai Gymnasium and the Shanghai International Gymnastics Center, when thousands of spectators enter, they will receive a ballot, and when they check it out with a pencil, children like us will count it as quickly as possible in a small room: Who is the most popular female singer? Who is the most popular male singer?
So, at that point, all we did was "count" the data. This data is not calculated by the computer, but is counted by us, who who has 1 vote, 2 votes, 3 votes, 4 votes... Then why use "run" out? After the vote count results come out, the director team will choose the best selling one from all the children... It wasn't me, let this person run to the stage, hand the little note to the host, and the host announces the result.
At that time, no one would care how many children behind them did this work, but in retrospect, I would feel that the Oriental Wind List started from the smallest and most subtle work, until later, including receiving artists, including being a live director on the stage, and then the whole party was created by me and my team, which I think is a very wonderful process.
<h1>YY on the balcony</h1>
What followed was a small interaction, we radio hosts especially like to interact, please forgive me. Please note that this is an exposed age no prize question time, raise your hand friends please shout out what is this thing?
Walkman, this is actually a stuff that puts a cassette, and now basically no one uses it to put a cassette. However, this little walkman is something that I was very enlightened when I was a DJ.
My enlightenment as a DJ was when I was exposed to some Hong Kong and Taiwan pop music, which was in the form of cassette tapes at that time. After every homework, I would hide in the corner of our balcony, where I would put a high chair, a small stool, pretend to be a DJ, and use this walkman to play songs and make shows.
Because I was actually a very shy and introverted person, I also put a curtain around and hosted the show inside. Of course, my own hosting can not be satisfied, there must be a benchmark object, at that time my idols Qiulin, Lin Hai, Sui Lei, Xiaolu are my benchmarking objects, and I found a target, that is, my favorite host Qiulin.
I kept writing letters to her, and every time I listened to the show, I started to write, "I think this episode is good, where is not good", and then I had a phone call, and I called and said, "Oh Qiulin, I listened to your show today, you played that song today is particularly good, how." Or sometimes she has some expressions that aren't particularly good, and I'll say, "You don't seem to be in particularly good shape today, and I've heard you eat eight screws" (Editor's note: "Eight screws" in the industry is a situation where there is a lot of stuttering and typos).
Hosts usually roll their eyes when they hear this kind of call. But I kept doing this kind of thing, and finally touched her heart, she said to me, you come and try to do the show. There was a show that was hosted every Saturday by the audience, and that was when I really had the opportunity to enter the most sacred building in my mind, and it was more than twenty years.
In 1997, I remember going to the radio station, and I deliberately asked my friend to help me record the program. When I came back, I found that I was "miserable to listen to", because of the nervousness and the fact that I was in the voice change period at the time, this sound was simply impossible to hear, and I did not want to take it out to taste it again, but this was my beginning.
<h1>Dreams start with a single step</h1>
In 1997, I joined the radio station and did the most basic work, such as editing, production, event planning. In fact, for the children at that time, these were already some technical jobs. More often, the children in the company are helping to get express delivery and takeaway.
Everyone sees that there are a bunch of letters in this, and now everyone thinks who still writes letters, but really more than a decade ago, the radio station could receive so many letters every day, all for those popular hosts, those hosts can even hold a meeting with listeners, there must be a thousand listeners to the scene, then it can be said that it is the golden age of broadcasting.
From 1997 to 2005, I wished I could have a show of my own, but it wasn't until 2006, nine years after I stepped into the radio building, that I really had a show of my own, called "Nine O'Clock People Come Crazy." It's been 12 years since 2006, so much so that it's often the case that people say, "I grew up listening to your show."
Because on the radio station, starting from all the basic work, the small work, in the end, I have the opportunity to stand in front of the curtain, that is, in front of the microphone, and pass on my own ideas, ideas, and songs that I like to the listeners.
Next we play a small game, you see the interaction is coming again, the radio host just likes to interact, then everyone will cooperate. Now let's pair the two of you, you can pair with the person on your right, why? Please don't look him in the eye, you go to his ear and say to him, "Are you doing well today?"
Please do it, this is the tone and state, do not look into each other's eyes, do not have any eye contact. Everyone was a little shy and shy, but someone did it anyway. Now let's go another way, or the two of you paired, but notice that before you open your mouth, raise the corners of your mouth and say to him, "How are you doing today?" ”。 Let's give it a try and see if I feel differently, it's been my many years of experience as a host.
Can't see the audience, what do we rely on to impress him? It is by our sincerity and the happiness that we pass on. By keeping smiling, I let you feel that you are happy to listen to my show, so at that time, there were a lot of fans, and even some fans helped me form a fan group that sounded tall.
My feeling at the time was, wow, really public figure, so happy. Then on various TV shows, I feel that my life dream has reached its peak and has been realized. But then, in 2011, I suddenly found that our industry had changed, and Dynamic 101 also made a change.
<h1>Change and change and change</h1>
We went from the original host himself deciding what type of songs to play every day, and playing a few songs, to a unified frequency to arrange songs, which is a subversive change.
Our technical term is "formatted music radio", that is, you may think that listening to the program of the high mountain at noon, he will play some very sunny and happy songs, the next hour of the host he likes rock, and then the next hour of the host likes the ancient style, the whole hour is playing antique music.
Are you saying that the performance of the host is highlighted? OK. Can his musical style be remembered? OK. But the style of this radio station is completely fragmented, so after formatting the music station, we let the listener decide what kind of songs to play.
So even if I'm the director of the station, I can't decide what songs to play, but it's all up to the audience. This is also why music stations, especially in Shanghai, have done very well in the entire Shanghai radio market in recent years.
At the same time, I would also like to thank you for the timing and location. What is location? You all have a common understanding of Shanghai's traffic - there are many traffic jams, but we are very happy. A little more cars! Let's get a little more stuck in the road! Because only when you are in a state of traffic jam, you can be confined to this scene to listen to our program.
Some people say no, I like to plug in the USB stick to listen to my favorite songs. But this is not popular. What is the biggest charm of your access to broadcasting? It's that you never know what kind of song will play next.
Then I put forward a point, put the song in its entirety, why put the song in its entirety?
For example, today we all came to listen to the speech, half of the speech suddenly blackout, or you and your lover ate in a restaurant that has been dating for a long time, just half eaten, the waiter inexplicably took your meal away, how do you feel? The same is true on music stations, where our requirement is that the song must be played in its entirety.
If you look at the song list above, the chime of Dynamic 101 is at 59 points, so the end of each song is stuck at 59 points, and it must be completed. Why? It's about making sure that our songs don't interrupt the audience's good mood of enjoying the music in any situation (advertising, hourly chimes, weather forecasts, news).
Come down again and reply to every private message. Why should I reply? Because the audience is our food and clothing parents, their needs are what we should meet. For example, many listeners will ask, what song is played at what time? The previous moderator ignored it, and he felt under no obligation to answer. But I said you have, because you replied to him, he will come to you next time, what does it mean when he comes to ask you next time? Means he's still listening to your show.
So our concept gradually changed, from the original high above to we are good friends to accompany you. Companionship is the value of our existence, and how to do a good job of companionship is also the biggest purpose of the entire radio broadcast now. Let all listeners feel that the host is his friend, the host can bring you the freshest information, play the best songs, and even provide him with a lot of good bonuses and prizes.
<h1>My wife took me to "keep up with the times"</h1>
In recent years, people often come to me and say, you are not young, you are nearly middle-aged, but Dynamic 101 has always been one of the most trendy, the freshest information and the frequency of songs, oh, then how do you keep a young mentality and thoughts?
There is no long talk, it is very simple, just find a young wife. Although everyone will laugh at this, in fact, my wife is not much younger than me, and I notice that the posture in the parentheses is the youthful state.
As we get older, our thinking will change a little, but we always have to keep the freshest ideas and keep our sensitivity to the market in the media. Especially after I transferred to management positions in recent years, my willingness to take the initiative to engage with these things has become smaller, and all of them have been taken by my wife.
So what does she see? She watched "China Has Hip Hop", "Blood Street Dance Troupe", "Idol Trainees", "Creation 101" and other programs, and I watched them all passively, so I was able to talk a lot in the show.
Our audience is mainly post-90s and post-80s, they know what I know, they don't know even I know, so I feel special thanks to my wife on this stage, who has always brought me with the times.
This is some of my experience to share with you today, and I hope to give you some enlightenment.
I feel like I'm such a little person in the media, starting small, but I can achieve my biggest dream.
