Prior to this, a number of car companies have announced price increases.
1. SAIC Roewe announced the price increase of new energy products, and decided to increase the official guidance price of many of its new energy models from March 1, 2022 to cope with changes in the new energy market.
2. On February 7, the price of the entire Wuling NanoEV series rose, and the adjusted price range was 52,800-62,800 yuan, and the price of the whole series of models rose by 3,000 yuan.
3. On January 21, BYD announced that due to the sharp rise in raw material prices and the decline of new energy car purchase subsidies, the official guidance prices of BYD Dynasty and Ocean Series were raised by 1,000-7,000 yuan.
The reasons for the price increases of these car companies are almost the same.
On the one hand, subsidies have declined: On December 31, 2021, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued that the subsidy standard for new energy vehicles in 2022 will be reduced by 30% on the basis of 2021, and it will be clear that the subsidy for new energy vehicles will be terminated on December 31, 2022.
On the other hand, the price of raw materials fluctuates, resulting in an increase in cost prices. According to the data, the early price of lithium was only 30,000 yuan / ton, and by February 28 this year, the average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate has increased to 480,000 yuan / ton; of which lithium metal rose by 20,000 yuan / ton, the average price was 2.67 million yuan / ton; lithium iron phosphate rose by 5500 yuan / ton.
