One afternoon not long ago, in the courtyard of the vehicle maintenance station of the Huancui District Environmental Sanitation Service Center, sweepers and garbage collection trucks returned one after another and parked neatly. Cong Longhui, director of the vehicle maintenance department of the Huancui District Environmental Sanitation Service Center, is wearing a blue overalls and communicating with the sanitation workers who got off the bus about the use of the vehicle.
Seeing the reporter, he beckoned him to the office on the second floor - in a small room of less than ten square meters, a desk and a bench occupied half of the place, and in one corner of the room there was a small lathe and a sand belt machine, and next to it were scattered with equipment such as welding guns, and the radiator adsorbed several large iron absorbent stones, which were "wrapped" by various screws and other small parts. Saying that it is an office, it is more like a "processing plant".
Working in the vehicle maintenance department for 30 years, for Cong Longhui, this is not only his job, but also his hobby and habit. He used practical actions to interpret the belief of "doing one line, loving one line, and specializing in one line", and demonstrated the mission and responsibility of a Communist Party member.
Learning words when the head of the "mechanical white" eventually becomes a "technical master"
In 1992, 18-year-old Cong Longhui entered the sanitation team, led by his master to do vehicle maintenance work, unexpectedly, this work is 30 years.
Cong Longhui, who had just entered the industry, had a black eye on mechanical equipment, but he had a strong enthusiasm for learning, in addition to seriously studying the knowledge taught by the teacher, he ran to the bookstore to look through the theoretical books. Cong Longhui clearly remembers that at that time, the monthly salary was 120 yuan, and he was not willing to spend money to buy books, so he took paper and pencil and copied down the important contents of the books. Relying on this method, he taught himself to master a series of theoretical knowledge such as "Vehicle Construction" and "Mechanical Foundation".
During the repair, the "axis" strength in Cong Longhui's bones was revealed. When encountering technical problems, he always did not want to think about food, asked for advice from many parties, worked overtime, and stayed up all night until he studied thoroughly.
Self-study theory coupled with master's help, Cong Longhui's maintenance skills are solid day by day. He often said: "What is missing from the post, I will learn what is needed; what the unit needs, I will make up for it." Cong Longhui never "sang a high note" and always practiced his promises with actions.
In the maintenance work, there are often situations where parts do not meet the maintenance needs, and ordering from the manufacturer is not only troublesome, but also delays the time and affects the use of the vehicle. Cong Longhui checked the information and watched the video through the computer, and personally purchased parts to assemble a small lathe and abrasive belt machine, and some simple parts could be made by themselves, bringing great convenience to the maintenance work.
With the accumulation of experience, Cong Longhui's technology has become more and more exquisite, under his leadership, the technical backbone of the vehicle maintenance department has also successfully completed various repair, maintenance and modification tasks again and again.
A certain type of road sweeper dust reduction effect is not good, the dust generated during operation is easy to cause secondary pollution to the environment, Cong Longhui organized technical personnel to carry out comprehensive design, successfully solved the problem; snow clearing car shovel is easy to break the road tooth stone, affecting the integrity and beauty of the road, he led the team to modify, got unanimous praise; the semi-closed design of the traditional garbage transport vehicle caused the smell to scatter, so that pedestrians avoided it, a rear compartment sealing cover let the problem be solved...
In the eyes of colleagues, Cong Longhui is already a well-deserved "technical master", and if there is any question that he does not understand, ask him for advice to get an answer. Cong Longhui summed up a set of "two hearts" and "three diligences" of "apprentice heart method", driving the overall improvement of the technical level of the maintenance department, and with the help of team strength to overcome one problem after another, showing the craftsman spirit of skilled workers in the new era.
Hard work first 30 years of perseverance to help the city better
"Engaged in vehicle maintenance work on the sanitation front, light technology is not enough, and you have to be able to endure hardships." This is Cong Longhui's understanding of his work.
The Vehicle Maintenance Department is now responsible for the maintenance of more than 150 vehicles in terms of cleaning, transportation, snow removal, sewage absorption and management. The large number of vehicles and the high utilization rate increase the chance of problems.
"The fault is the order, where the vehicle is broken, it must be repaired where it is, if it is not repaired in time, it will affect the normal clearance operation." Although a repair team was set up, when receiving a call for help, Cong Longhui often chose to bring the required tools and accessories to himself, because the more experienced the maintenance, the shorter the repair time, in this case he should not give in.
365 days a year, Cong Longhui is on standby 24 hours a day, as long as the front line needs rescue, no matter when and where, no matter how bad the weather, he will immediately rush to the scene for emergency repairs. In 2021, in order to cooperate with the long-distance garbage diversion work, Cong Longhui and colleagues worked overtime to repair and test, and there was not a single garbage backlog accident caused by untimely maintenance.
Every winter is cong longhui's busiest time, not only to ensure daily work, but also to completely overhaul all mechanical equipment before entering winter, if it encounters snowy days, Cong Longhui is directly living in the unit.
"In order to ensure that citizens travel normally in the morning, most of the snow is cleared at night. Our maintenance personnel will also follow behind the snow clearing vehicle in groups, and once the vehicle fails, it is convenient to repair it in time. In Cong Longhui's memory, sometimes the vehicle broke down on the road, took a piece of clothing and laid it on the ground, then drilled into the bottom of the car and began to repair it. The bottom of the car can not see clearly, can only rely on experience a little bit of the line to find problems, gloves stained with snow and water after freezing stiff, with the "ice gloves" hands will be unconscious, encounter difficult problems, lying in the snow is more than an hour.
The weather is getting warmer, and Cong Longhui's work pressure is slightly reduced, but even on rest days, he is used to coming to the unit every day to guard. Through the office, you can see the big words "safety first, precautions before it happens" on the outer wall. Even if there is no maintenance task, most of the time he checks the safety production work in the hospital.
"The 16th Municipal Party Congress put forward the development goals and tasks of Weihai in the next five years, and all walks of life in the whole society are working hard in this direction, and our sanitation team cannot lag behind."
