On February 27, 2022, a group of 9 dongwang volunteers from Weicheng Guorun Classroom in Weifang, Shandong Province, led by the undertaker, came to the section from Minsheng Street to Shengli Street in the hinterland of the BailangHe River to pick up white garbage and dirt that fell on the river.
Bailang River, the mother river in the hearts of the people of Weifang, is also a scenic river in the urban area. At 8:00 a.m., volunteers picked up and salvaged white garbage here, returned to the citizens a clean, a sense of life, and a tranquil city. They bring their own garbage clips, convenience bags and other tools, wear red vests, wear little red hats, and the "East Hope Volunteers Serve the People" behind them is silent, but it is ok.
They collected weeds, dead branches, rotten leaves, pet feces, lunch boxes in stone crevices, paper towels, discarded convenience bags, etc. along the winding path into bags, dumped them in garbage bins on the side of the road, and sorted recyclable garbage and non-recyclable garbage. Busy figures form a beautiful landscape among leisure tourists, and people throw praise and friendly eyes.
The weather at the end of February was warm and cold, their hands were frozen red and numb, but their bodies were sweating. The Bailang River flows through the urban area of nearly 22 kilometers, and the scenic area is also more than 10 kilometers, and the volunteers are confident that the sanitation of the entire river section will be cleaned up, and people will also be a good place to travel and relax. Today, they completed the 1.5-kilometer white garbage removal work from Minsheng Street to Victory Street. In the future, they will continue to clean up the garbage in other sections of the river, and repeat the cycle, doing their best to protect the mother river of the Weifang people.
