However, although these 67 selected players include most of the outstanding players in China, from the perspective of the strength and technical characteristics of these players, it is still impossible to select all the players required for Cai Bin's tactics, especially the candidates for Li Yingying's diagonal and the candidates for replacing Gong Xiangyu.
Cai Bin has been coaching the Jiangsu women's volleyball team for eight years, and has been making every effort to create a combination of high and fast tactics in the middle and pulling apart on both sides. Although this tactic is extremely powerful, in order to exert its maximum power, the requirements for the ability of each player in the squad are very demanding. In particular, the side attack and the sub-attack players are the most important. Among them, the side attack players must not only have strong attack power, but also have the ability to defend the back row, while the secondary attack players must have height and speed. Of course, the requirements for players in other positions are relatively high.
In the eight years that Cai Bin has coached the Jiangsu women's volleyball team, although the results are good, it is difficult to achieve results that match their own strength, because they have not exerted the maximum power of this set of tactics. Because the Chinese women's volleyball coach can mobilize the resources of the whole country, improve the lineup to the greatest extent, and exert the maximum power of tactics. At the same time, there is also the opportunity to test the strength of their tactics against the world's strongest teams, or to find their shortcomings. It is precisely for this reason that although there are currently 67 players participating in the training camp, it is not yet possible to completely select all the players who meet Cai Bin's tactical requirements to the greatest extent, and the missing candidates are Li Yingying's diagonal and players who can replace Gong Xiangyu.
Gong Xiangyu is currently the best receiving player in China, the technology is also very comprehensive, should have been the most suitable candidate for the position of Cai Bin's tactics, but Gong Xiangyu's strong offensive ability is weaker than other attackers is also an objective reality, to a certain extent, it will reduce the power of Cai Bin's tactics. Under such circumstances, it is obviously unrealistic to replace Gong Xiangyu with other players to strengthen the right-wing strong attack ability. It can only be a matter of retreating to the second place, choosing a player with strong offensive ability stronger than Gong Xiangyu, while other players with weaker ability than Gong Xiangyu will replace Gong Xiangyu when the team needs to strengthen the attack. If Zhu Ting and Zhang Changning can return to the team, Cai Bin may directly replace Gong Xiangyu with Zhang Changning.
As for Li Yingying's diagonal candidate, the only way at present is to retreat to the second place and choose a player with relatively strong comprehensive strength to temporarily serve. Because the players who can fully qualify for these two positions are unattainable, even if Cai Bin urgently needs it, he can only focus on cultivating young players while waiting for Zhu Ting and Zhang Changning to return, and look forward to cultivating players who meet his requirements.
